The Ex-Change

The Ex-Change

I mean, I’m used to my own organized chaos, but this—this feels like I’m trespassing in a space I have no business being in. I throw myself onto the couch—her couch, which, for the record, has zero crumbs on it. It’s like the couch doesn’t even know what a crumb is. I run a hand over the cushions, unsure whether I’m impressed or just slightly intimidated. There’s a stack of books on the coffee table, which is, of course, alphabetized. I grab the one on top and flip through it. It’s one of those self-help books, the kind people like to pretend they don’t need but secretly read every morning before their third cup of coffee.

The Bookstore Temptation

The Bookstore Temptation

Julian Blackwood didn't believe in *kindness*. He believed in **results**. In **control**. In **winning**. And yet as he stood in the midst of *Chapter & Soul* bookstore, with Lena Carter's soft voice still lingering at the edges of his mind like morning mist, something strange tangled deep in his chest. "*Maybe you should start,"* she had breathed. An effortless sentence. Soft, nearly shy. But it had hit harder than any boardroom betrayal or market crash he'd ever faced.

His Doctor Bride

His Doctor Bride

he muttered, more to himself than anything else. His eyes landed on the shelf. Books. He walked over, scanning the titles until one caught his attention. “How to Be a Better Man.” He let out a small, dry laugh under his breath. Of course. He pulled it out and stared at the cover for a moment before opening it and flipping through the first few pages. The words were simple. Straightforward. Advice. Steps. Explanations. He tried to read. He really did. But after a few lines, his mind drifted again.

Curse of the Wolves

Curse of the Wolves

A book came out along with his hand, both fully intact. “The Courage to Trust,” by Dr. Franklin Reed. He had to be joking. There were hidden cameras here somewhere, I just knew it. No fucking way was the god of wolves cracking open a self-help book from the mortal realm. Sure enough, he fanned through the book eagerly, skipping over several chapters in the process. The tip of his tongue appeared from between his plump lips. He found the page he’d been looking for and quickly skimmed it. With a satisfied hum, he chucked the book behind his shoulder where it was swallowed up by that strange, shimmering magic.

Absolutely love this book, couldn't put it down. I've honestly read it more than once haha. Any chance I can buy it in paperback? This is a great book, give it a chance you won't be disappointed. Love the characters, love the book, love it!

I love this story so much that I kept reading, not realizing it was already four in the morning, and I had to wake up to take my kids to school at 7. every story by this author is beautifully written and addictive, but I love the humor and the strong female character in this story the most.

The Secret Billionaire in Aisle 9

The Secret Billionaire in Aisle 9

Except for Eli. He was sitting at register three, legs kicked up on the counter, sipping coffee from a thermos shaped like a rocket ship. “Did we swap personalities?” she asked, setting her bag down. “I couldn’t sleep,” he said. “So I figured I’d alphabetize the self-help books by level of delusion.” Callie arched a brow. “What’s top of the list?” “‘Manifesting for Millionaires.’ Right above ‘Confidence in Six Minutes or Less.’”

Craving My Best Friend’s Brother

Craving My Best Friend’s Brother

Even though I’m avoiding him physically, he’s still creeping into my thoughts all the time. My phone rings, pulling me out of my book. It’s Friday afternoon after school. For the past few days, I’ve been making sure to come home early with one excuse or another so I don’t spend extra time with Cortney and risk running into her brother. I set down the self-help book I picked up on the way home — something about becoming a high-value woman and building secure attachment. I found the recommendation in a TikTok comment section and decided to give it a try. I can still remember the weird look the bookstore owner gave me when I paid for it, like she thought I needed real therapy instead. Still, I’

Her Perfect Revenge

Her Perfect Revenge

I brought out my favourite book, a self-help book. Scanning through reading out a passage from the book we were given at the counselling program I attended the previous day, I was in the middle of that when a message popped up from Thane, I opened it, and to my utter bewilderment, he had sent me a picture of himself half naked!

Devil In Disguise

Devil In Disguise

Before we returned to the hotel, Curtis bought me a few books he said would keep me busy during his conference calls. I wanted to gag at the sight of what he had selected. Why did I let him buy his own selection? Right. Because I wasn’t much of a reader. I knew nothing about books—but I also knew at first glance that a self help book published in 1825 was not going to interest me. I checked the others and realized the latest one was published in 1850. Was my husband reincarnated from the nineteenth century? Well, that was the only choice I had. Either that or try to listen in on his conference call. Knowing it wasn’t going to be of much help, I opened the first book.

The Alpha's Caregiver

The Alpha's Caregiver

In the end, the inquisitive one won but first, I listened for footsteps and when I could make out none, I got off the bed and went for the book, flicking its first page open. The only person who could give me a book was Zena but it was also weird, what kind of book it was. It wasn’t the usual one we both read and enjoyed. It was some sort of self-help book and its title was even more weird. “Kicking trauma’s butt with style!”
