When my shift ended, I found myself walking toward the corner table where Kael sat, his laptop closed now, a book in his hands. I stopped short when I saw the cover. ‘Knot We Cannot Untie.’ That was the book he was holding. I can't believe that Kael would be reading one of Linda Lively’s books. “You read… this?” I said, the surprise evidently in my voice. Kael looked up, one brow raised. “Why? I look for a nice shirt, but they are all in the dirty laundry. “It’s just pizza and a movie.” I hold up a long sleeve Motorhead t-shirt. “Do you think this one will be okay?” “Well, if it’s between that and the one with a rat eating a hot dog, then yeah, the band t-shirt is better.” Justice sounds disappointed. “Remember what your mother says about wearing heels?”

Two large shopping bags with expensive boutique logos I recognized, and a beautiful arrangement that made my breath catch,a book bouquet. Actual books wrapped like flowers, their spines carefully arranged to create something both literary and romantic. A card was attached. For when you need an escape. And something to wear while you read them. - L My chest tightened. How had these gotten here before me? I’d left work twenty minutes ago, driven straight home, and yet…

It was a simple black tank top that cut off above the midriff. There was a Spade on the front with a “Q” inside of it, and on the back, black letters spelled out “Certified Black Cock Slut”. Women bought tank tops with the slogan “Prey is a Point of View.” The entire line was a huge success. Right before everything turned to shit, I was going to introduce motorcycle gear. The wolves running that operation were some of the most clever creatives I’d come across.

“I'm sure of that, and once you had it, I'm sure you'll be addicted of it." "Oh really!" I threw a t-shirt on his chest. "Take that one." Then I took the female T-shirt partnered with his. I thought you hated being sweet Athena? What am I doing now? I'm about to buy us a couple's shirt which is a prime example of sweetness. I guess I'm just curious what it feels like to wear a couple shirt. Even though I fail to see the actual sense of it... Does it just make you sick?

As he says this, I pull my hand out from behind my back and I place the bag I had in my hand in front of him and I give him a look that says, ‘go ahead and open it. “What is this, Jo?” “You will have to open it to find out babe.” He carefully and skeptically pulls the bag closer to him and peers inside, but he can’t see anything with all the tissue paper covering it. So, he starts to pull the tissue paper out and then he reaches inside and pullout a shirt reading, “Future Alpha of Blue Ridge Pack” He looks between me, and the shirt and he give me a questioning look like he doesn’t fully understand why I gave him this shirt.
