SLOANE Boredom is a type of punishment, the type that Chase has mastered. I was at home but it felt like I was alone. I had memorized the paint on the wall and counted every stripe of the rug. I had opened every drawer, sniffed every perfume and shirt. But nothing changed. I was tired, I had walked around over and over again. Walking from corner to corner. He said I should stay here, I am doing that, I am trying to do that.

Chapter 40 - Tiny Creature. Aurora's POV To say I was bored would have been an understatement with having nothing to do for the day. I was back to square one, I let out a tired sigh at my predicament. When humans are left alone for too long, they tend to overthink what they shouldn't. My mind was already racing in circles.

I started to be a working student when I was first year high school. It was a tiring, boring and lonely Sunday for me today. No work and since my auntie weren’t planing on going somewhere so we just stayed at our house. Scrolling at f******k, go to tiktok, back to f******k while laying is the only thing what I’m doing now. When I got tired of scrolling at those apps, I decided to go to app store and look for an app that can decrease my boredom. While scrolling, I found game apps and I downloaded some of it. Not satisfied enough, I continued scrolling and came across a weird app. As curiosity is coating me, I downloaded it and try it.

I asked, my tone laced with a hint of teasing. Nathan's emerald eyes sparkled with frustration as he flopped down onto the couch. "No, my tiredness is not out of exhaustion but lack of activities. This town is a wasteland, nothing to do. No fun at all, I am bored to death." His voice was laced with boredom, and he let out a dramatic sigh, as if to emphasize his point. I smiled softly, my piercing sapphire eyes crinkling at the corners. "Why don't you read one of these books? It's quite enlightening," I suggested, holding up the book I had been reading.

DARREN’S POV Boredom has always been a problem for me. I’ve known that for a long time, even before anyone else pointed it out. Most people can sit still when they have nothing to do, find something quiet to pass the time, or just let their minds rest. I can’t do that. When I’m still for too long, my mind doesn’t calm down. It starts searching. It looks for something to focus on, something to move toward, the same way a wolf starts pacing when it’s been held in one place for too long.

James’ POV I was incredibly bored at home today. The silence in my mansion echoed through the halls, and it felt almost unbearable. I couldn’t believe I had spent the entire night all alone, it was completely out of character for me. Normally, my nights were filled with noise, laughter, music, and most importantly, the presence of beautiful women. My house, a grand and luxurious mansion, often felt too empty without them.

Since she couldn’t fall asleep anyway, she decided to play mobile games to cure her insomnia. A familiar tune rang when she opened the gaming app, but she instantly felt bored. On second thought, all mobile games were boring. Day after day, their tasks were the same; Heather was dissatisfied that these games had no storyline at all. Despite that, she went online every single day to complete the daily tasks. It looked particularly boring, and it felt like it was a single-player game. She didn’t like completing the tasks as a team, so she played by herself. Nonetheless, it was enough for her. As long as she could pass time and eventually fall asleep, she didn’t expect much from this game.

Bryan punched in Rolland's phone number immediately and called him, and Rolland told him that he was occupied with a little project and he would try to make it the following day. "Is he really that busy for days now? I feel neglected right now." Bryan murmured after disconnecting the phone call. Bryan felt stuck in one place and couldn't do anything for himself. He was limited to some things and he found them boring, so he decided to go clubbing that night. Bryan lounged on the plush sofa in the guest house, scrolling through his phone for what felt like the hundredth time that evening. Boredom gnawed at him like a persistent itch, urging him to break free from the dullness of the quiet gues

Unconsciously I looked at my closed door and windows and sighed, turning back to his text. What was I supposed to type? 'Hey I'm moisturizing my naked body, come over.'? No thanks! 'Nothing much, you?' was what I ended up typing, even though I hated it when someone replied to me with nothing much. Like seriously? Nothing? Blackmailer-'Breathing *tongue out*, seriously nothing? You're boring.' The last two words did something to me. Made me want to prove that I wasn't boring. Because there's nothing worse than being called boring. Boring is discernibly not a depiction anyone would want to fit in. I am fracking awesome!

After I eat the worst breakfast I've ever eaten in my entire life, I find myself in the most lost, bored state of my life. This is not a condition I'm familiar with. I don't get bored. I have never, as an adult, had nothing to do—there is always something requiring my attention. There is always a problem to solve or a decision to make or someone waiting on my response. But there is nothing to do here. Literally nothing. I've already had my two hours of allowed work. I've already made myself the worst breakfast to ever be made with human hands. And it's only ten in the morning.
