The Cold ones. Part 1, In two worlds.

The Cold ones. Part 1, In two worlds.

He told me as he held it out for me to take. “Emma Fennelly!” I spoke aloud as I read the neat black ink on the front of the book. “I can read this?” “You can read whatever book in here you want. I know you miss your life at home, and I know you must miss your parents terribly and that none of this was of your asking or doing, but while you are here, just think of it as your new home away from home. So, you can come in here and read whenever you like. Apart from the bedrooms of others, the rest of this place is yours just as much as it is theirs”.

Bound by the Moon

Bound by the Moon

“Today was interesting. I’ve never heard of an omega growl like that.” I didn’t know what to say. His eyes moved across my face. “Does that frighten you?” I met his gaze. “Yes.” He nodded once. Then angled his head to the door. “Come.” I blinked. “Where?” “A run.” He was already moving toward the door. “The territory. You’ve seen the lower edges. You should know the full boundary.” “I–erm–,” I said to his back. “You know I can’t shift.” “I didn’t ask you to shift.” He stopped at the door without turning.

Bound by a Prank

BBAP CHAPTER 119 “I know you badly want to go home, I will be the one to call your parents and let them know you are safe here. I just didn’t want to go into any trouble. If we ever leave tonight, we need to make sure we are safe.” Dalmi didn’t know what to say. After eating in silence for a couple of minutes, Jaime just told her they couldn’t leave and now, Carden was telling her that there was a typhoon hitting South Luzon and it would be better if they stay inside the house even for two days before they can go home.

Silver Queen of Lunar Ridge

Silver Queen of Lunar Ridge

I stood before the central iron bookshelf, the soft white dusting cloth held loosely in my fingers. The room was illuminated only by the pale, silver moonlight cutting through the frost-covered glass windows. I reached out my hand and touched a thick, leather-bound volume of old historical texts. It was a book detailing the ancient royal boundaries of the high-ranking packs. I gripped the heavy spine and slowly pulled it out, intending to shift it a few inches out of alignment, just like I had done the night before. "Click.” The sound of the heavy steel gate at the penthouse entrance echoed through the vast living room.

BOUNDED BY FAITH

BOUNDED BY FAITH

Everything goes numb. I don’t even realize when he pulls me into his lap, but somehow being there—pressed against his heartbeat, caged in his warmth—makes my lungs work again. It should terrify me. It should feel wrong. But instead, it feels… safer than anywhere else I’ve been in a long time. We don’t cross the bridge. Not with the car. He steps out, carrying me like something precious or broken—I can’t tell which. My fingers curl into his shirt, holding on like it’s the only real thing left in this world. The night air cuts cold against my skin, but his presence burns through it.

Bound by Power

Bound by Power

Then she looked at the protection clause in the contract. Any threats to Ms. Grant or her immediate family will be neutralized permanently. Nina picked up her phone with shaking hands. The number Victor had left rang twice. "Ms. Grant." His voice was cold despite it being 4 AM. Like he'd been expecting her call. "Have you made a decision?" "I have questions." "Ask them." "The protection..." she hesitated. "How does it work? What does 'neutralized' actually mean?" "It means anyone who threatens you or your family will be dealt with swiftly and permanently." He said firmly. "You don't need to know the details. You just need to know it will stop.".

The Forsaken Daughter

The Forsaken Daughter

“This library is only accessible to the Alpha, Beta and Gamma families. It’s got the same type of fingerprint scanner as our apartment.” I didn’t want to sit at the desk, so I grabbed a few of the books and sat on the large couch instead. Easton kneeled down to take my shoes off before sitting beside me on the couch. He turned sideways a little and pulled my back into him so that I was laying against him and could position my legs to hold a book. I propped one of the books open on my legs and began to browse through it.

The Kidnapped Bride

The Kidnapped Bride

It had been a long time since we started the tour. I was tired, but also rather thrilled. The estate was beautiful. There were no extra pieces of furniture, only what was necessary. The last place to visit was the library. The library was huge. All the covers of the books were black. They were gorgeous. My hands itched to trace the title of the books. “Do you love books?” Dela asked. I nodded. “Back at home…” Dela held up her hand. “This is your home now. There is no other place in the world that is your home but House Silverclaw.”

Blue Moon Bed & Breakfast

Blue Moon Bed & Breakfast

Greta and Gabby made their way to Page Turner’s Bookstore just down the street from the Blue Moon Inn. Once inside the warmth of the large shop, Greta was surprised to see a bright modern shop, which included not only a metaphysical section, but my children’s section, too. With soft upbeat music playing in the background, it didn’t take long to find the shopkeeper chatting away to a rather wild looking dog by a fireplace.

Hello, so I just finish the 1st chapter, honestly, I think you introduced too many characters in the first chapter, why don't you focus on the MC and the husband and wife first. You can introduce the other staffs later when they play a role in the chapter. Good luck!

I love the way you tell us about all the different people that are going to be in the book. I like how each chapter is about one set of characters and how they are part of the whole tapestry of the story. Love that there's a Boggart in your book, they really are very mischievous but don't mean harm.
