I lie in the dark, watching shadows move across the ceiling, replaying every moment outside my dorm. The desperation in Jules' voice when she said my name. The way her entire body shook from cold and emotion. The pain in her eyes when I called us a mistake. Please, Adrian. Just tell me this meant something. It meant everything. But I can't tell her that. Can't give her hope when there's nowhere for this to go except more pain. My phone lights up. 12:17 AM. I grab it, some irrational part of me hoping it's Jules. That she's still awake, still thinking about me the way I can't stop thinking about her.

37: Royals Dawn is rolling on the bed, it’s now morning but she can’t even sleep. She can’t polish a plan B, if her plan A didn’t go through. A loud knock from the door after a few minutes, she groaned and whined while walking towards the door to open it. “What took you so long?” Kritisha hissed. Dawn was surprised a little when she burst through her door.

Dawn let go of David hand then let a huge sign. “What did you say?” David added, he still doesn’t know, if Dawn was joking or not. Dawn looks serious that gives him uncertain feelings that he shouldn’t have. David wants an answer. He stares Dawn eyes but nothing in it. It’s completely blank and dark. He can’t see through his eyes. “I said let’s break-up, David.” Dawn said, his tears fallen from his eyes. His heart feels so broke like it’s going to burst anytime because of the pain he feeling right now.

Chapter 40: A New Dawn The first thing Caden noticed when he woke was the warmth of the sunlight spilling through the thick curtains, casting soft golden rays across the room. It felt like a strange comfort after the cold darkness that had gripped him for so long. His body was still heavy with fatigue, his muscles aching, but there was a new kind of peace surrounding him. The panic, the fear, the doubt that had plagued him in his final moments—before everything had gone black—were gone.

Lucas had a gleam of sweat across his forehead, his face stoic as he tried to not show his fatigue. “Please find your quarters, each building is clearly labeled with your ability, pick a bed and rest for the night. We’ll start early tomorrow, breakfast will be served at 5 and we will begin at 6 with the body manipulation specials.” Everyone dispersed to their quarters, as Lucas and I got off the ground. We leaned on each other as we headed towards our quarters.

Chapter Thirteen I woke up to the sunshine steaming through the window. I let out a yawn and stretched my tired body out. My arms still ached from all the work from yesterday. I jumped out of the bed and quickly washed then got dressed. I could not afford upset the alpha anymore. I knew full well that if I wasn't up and making breakfast for the pack, then I would be beaten again. I prepared pancakes and helped the other omegas to set up the dining hall. It was almost seven am before we had finally got everything completed.
