The Darkness Within
A faint orange glow is visible in the distance, and the further I go toward the call, the brighter and redder it becomes until I suddenly break through the darkness and see the flames of hell and the burning red gate covered in black soot.
Its size is impressive, its roar is deafening, and its power is heavy and suffocating.
Its flames burn brighter, hotter, angrier, excited when it senses my mind reaching for it, answering its call. Shade howls when his instincts give in, and he answers the call. The sound is deafening and bends the walls that contain him in my head. The gate screeches, a high-pitched, ear-piercing sound as it responds to Shade's call.
