She burst into tears and ran out, hands covering her face. Then I felt the heat of his breath by my ear. "Let's finish the wedding first. I'll explain everything later, okay?" With the nuisance out of the picture and me not quite in the mood to make a scene, the guests stayed quiet, and the ceremony moved along quickly. Not long after, I was in the bridal room, slapping the mattress hard with my palm. 'What the hell was that earlier? Was that supposed to be some kind of seductive act? Hmph. As if that would work on me.'

It was a love that had conquered all obstacles, and today, they would seal it with vows. The palace was a whirlwind of activity. The garden, now transformed into a fairytale setting, was adorned with fragrant blossoms and lush greenery. Guests from near and far had gathered, their faces lit up with anticipation. The atmosphere was electric, and a palpable sense of love and unity filled the air. Bloom's bridesmaids, Ana and a few close friends she had made along her journey, bustled around her, adding the final touches. Ana, who had been a steadfast friend through thick and thin, held back her tears as she adjusted Bloom's veil.

As expected, Nina and Sophia were at my side. They assisted me with my glam makeup and help me into my wedding dress.  They both gasped like fishes out of the water when they saw how perfect the dress was on me. "Jevan is going to kiss you before the official say so," Nina joked. Tears of happiness were already in my eyes. "Hey hey! You'll ruin your makeup if you go all crying on me now," Sophia said.

I clenched my hands tighter as the pain in my palm seared. … I had no idea how long we walked for. The sun seemed to have climbed to its peak. I was finally allowed to remove the blindfold. Before me stretched a winding, narrow path that ended in a bottomless cave. Beside it stood a towering, ancient tree. Its scent of osmanthus drifted even from afar. The villagers said the tree had absorbed the essence of countless Blossom Brides. That was what made it so tall and fragrant. When we were thirty feet away from the cave, the procession abruptly stopped.

“She’s… bre, athtaking.” Speculation spread like wildfire. The gown gleamed with stones worth billions, reflecting every beam of light. The church glowed in enchantment, walls adorned with cascading lights, an aisle blanketed with fresh white rose petals, and towering cherry blossom trees on either side, their branches dripping with falling stars as the bride walked beneath.

I didn't even ask her- "The name, Blushing Bride, refers to a Cape flower all the way from Cape Town South Africa as well as an old courting ritual. POV: Beatrice The stems of my bouquet bent beneath my grip, each step down the aisle tightening my hold until the fragile blooms threatened to break. The sight before me was every bit as pristine as the planners had intended: white chairs perfectly aligned, delicate flowers swaying in the ocean breeze, and a makeshift altar framed by the endless horizon. Yet, for all its beauty, the scene felt hollow, each detail mocking me with its cheerful façade.

In truth, she was merely waiting—calculating, observing, waiting for the right moment to slip away. Aiden watched her from a distance. He could tell she had a plan of her own, but he also couldn’t let the night pass without making his presence known—especially when it would benefit the woman he intended to claim as his bride.
