I held the bowstring, preparing my fingers to let go of the arrow as I gasp for air. Archery has been my preference. It gives me a calm mood and I often uses it to reduce my anger or grief within my chest. As I let go of the arrow, it directly darted toward the target and I sigh in relief upon witnessing how it pierced through the center. "Not bad at all," I whispered and a smirk escaped from my edges. Mayhaps I must go home and assemble myself for the night's lantern exhibition. As I have my departure, I notice a silhouette from afar. The butts aren't distant from the forest I used to stay in. Out of my interest, my feet hasten to tail the figure of a woman. I could evidently glimpse how sh

I heard my mate yelling for me and my friends ran towards the car with me in my mate's arms. I was in his arms being carried bridal style. The wind started to hit me stronger, making me realize that Archer must be running at a wolf's pace. I leaned further into him but was careful not to make skin-to-skin contact, I didn't want to hurt him through the mate bond more than he already felt. I sobbed against his chest, I couldn't stop as much as I wanted because I was in agony. The first light of dawn bled through the shattered window pane, casting cold, fractured shadows across the mahogany desk. Beside the pool of gray light, the arrow sat like a corpse on display. I stood over it, the heavy silk of my nightgown offering little protection against the morning chill as Ethan ran a calloused thumb along the shaft. This arrow belongs to the personal armory of the Northern Border Guard."

Ava looked really scared like she would cry any minute from now. "You'd be fine baby, "I reassured her as I held her hands tight. "Make sure the alcohol dries before plunging in the needle. Then remove the paper from the pod, there you will see an adhesive part of the pod. Ava are you ready? "Ava nodded she looked as if she wasn't ready, I squeezed her hands reassuring her. "Then you plunge in the needle. "

I nodded in acknowledgment. Rowan rolled his eyes, for a man so handsome he was for sure an asshole, “She goes into action tonight. I don’t care if she’s a clergy at a court. She needs to know the basic form of defense.” “Teach me then.” I said to him, “I’m ready.” He snorted and threw the bow at me, coming out of nowhere I fumbled catching it. He chuckled, wickedly, my frown grew even deeper. “It takes a little deal of arm strength to fire these arrows. They’re specially imported from South America, made from kronimum steel which can impale a werewolf. It wouldn’t kill one, but it can for sure hurt it.”
