The Alpha's Halo

The Alpha's Halo

The branch was indeed high and if she fell, serious damage would take place. “I need you to stay calm! I'm coming!” I said and quickly climbed the tree. The branch cracked, causing the little girl to sob. “I'm close. Stay calm!” I didn't know how I was supposed to reach her. Any other crack wasn't going to be in her favour and she wasn’t exactly stable. “Please, hurry,” she whimpered. I reached the branch under her and although it was a little bit far, it was the only option I had.

This is marvelous and I really love the story despite of some grammatical issues. I highly recommend this book and I would like to congratulate you dear author for a job well done! Kudos to you and I am hoping for more great stories from you! A sequel will be best also. What happened to her brother?

This book is fantastic; not the typical growly "I am alpha" romance. It is sweet and slow burning. There are some grammatical mistakes in the beginning that make it a little challenging to get into, but stick with the author. The writing improves as the story goes on and is worth the effort

Desire (Wish, Book Two)

Desire (Wish, Book Two)

Abigail and Anderson. I pause when I realize the two of them are working together. They’re coming my way so I quickly climb up the tree I’m standing under. However, it’s when I’m high up that I realize something. There was a trap just a few inches from me, one covered in large leaves. When I scrambled to climb up, I somehow dislodged the leaves covering it. My eyes widen in shock at the sight of this particular trap. It’s a large hole in the ground with jagged sticks poking out from it.

Unraveling Him

Unraveling Him

I groaned again, the things I am putting myself through for him. The distance between the tree and the window wasn't as little as I expected. Fuck. I am gonna have to jump. This could end in two ways; one, I will make a noise and get killed by whoever is guarding the house. Two, I will fall head straight into the ground and die. Great.

The Hunt

The Hunt

It was most likely her first, and apparently her last, hunt as well. Sam had almost climbed up to Esther in the tree. He made a final jump upward to a sturdy branch five feet below Esther. He reached up the final distance and grabbed her waist and lowered her to his branch. She had frozen in fear, unable to do much other than watch him scale the distance up the tree to where she was perched.

A insanely unique and interesting premise executed very well! I love Kate's character and the inner battle she has in regards to the Hunt. I also love how the differences between twins Izzy and Kate are concise and clear. The dialogue is realistic and girls are fun and likable! Great job!

Werewolf romance was not really my taste but this one is interesting. Not only did it mention about the most talked about alphas but it tackled the other positions such as those who protect the pack during travel. It's new knowledge for me so I very much like it. Plus, the hunt is surely exciting.

MY TWINS (ENGLISH VERSION)

My jaw dropped as I saw him hanging from a rope tied to a tree outside the mansion. “Careful!” I managed to yell, stunned by their daring escape. All I could do was curse in disbelief.

Contract With Big Brother-in-law

Contract With Big Brother-in-law

Noah finally shouted, stepping back as the tree started to fall. But the tree was somehow even bigger than we’d anticipated, and it came crashing down faster than expected. The guys scrambled to get out of the way, their laughter echoing through the forest as the tree narrowly missed them. Marcus literally had to dive into a nearby snow bank just to avoid getting steamrolled. “That was close,” Marcus said, brushing snow off his jacket.

"Wow, what a charmed life she’s living—pain, suffering, heartbreak—she’s got the full package! It’s almost like the author’s personal mission was to make sure the heroine never experiences a single moment of joy. Truly inspiring.,.. very disappointing this one is really exhausting to read

Let me first say that this author has kept me coming back to read the rest of the story. However, poor Kayla… can’t she catch a break? This is one of the better books I’ve read on here, but I’m starting to get frustrated by the 2 steps forward with Nicholas and Kayla for them to take 10 steps back.

Love and Redemption

Thank goodness! I roamed my eyes and started searching for a spot where I can climb. I see that the tree has vines and rush towards it. I grabbed on the vines and started climbing. Unfortunately, after several seconds of trying, I fell on the ground. By butt hit the ground which made me hiss. I also growled because of the pain.

Frequently Asked Questions

Got into a bit of a disagreement with a friend on this, actually. They were convinced 'Daun Yang Tidak Pernah Gugur' was set somewhere in Malaysia because of the author's background. I had to pull up the book to check--it's explicitly Sumatera Barat, West Sumatra. The Minangkabau cultural details aren't just window dressing; the whole conflict about adat and modern education hinges on that specific setting. The rumah gadang descriptions, the nagari system, it's all very precise.

Makes sense why the theme of 'the leaf that never falls' hits different there. It's not just a pretty metaphor; it's tied to that matrilineal society structure and the pressure to maintain tradition. If it were set somewhere generic, half the tension would evaporate. You really feel the weight of the 'never falling' in that specific landscape.
