“Move away from those things!” But the guardian angel’s warning fell into deaf ears when a grunting Sir Demonyo’s powerful swings could not cut them, making his focus fixated solely to the flock of butterflies swarming around him. The latter screamed when a couple of dozens of butterflies attached themselves to the commandant’s back, the butterflies’ small fangs pierced through his thick skin, drawing energy and blood from him. "I thought that if I could summon a Greater Demon and kill it with evidence to present to the Caucus, they'd let me be a part of their world and finally accept that I also had something special in me. I admit my plan was way over the top. I was a desperate, stupid eighteen-year old. "Perhaps a Raum or Dragonid demon I might have had luck killing, but summoning a Greater Demon, a demon that had existed before the birth of Hunters, infact a child of Lilith and Lucifer, was unthinkable among Hunters, but I was so desperate to prove a point to the Caucus, my mom, and Hunters at large, that one faithful night when my mother was out, I stole a couple of her spellbooks, a box of chalk and a Celesti

Spitfire had pulled them out of the range of where the demons who were still tumbling off the bridge were falling. Not one of them had wings or any other power that Spitfire could steal to help them out of this predicament. The no-fur was sweating, straining to keep the wings whole and get them back to safety.

The Heavenly Demon suddenly lifted his head as though he could sense Butler Fin's gaze. He smiled broadly and waved excitedly like an old friend meeting a colleague he hadn't seen in centuries. "He's still as crazy was always," Butler Fin smiled wryly and returned the orb to his breast pocket. He didn't question the Heavenly Demon's ability to perceive his gaze.
