*Hybrid is the intro book to a series of books to follow called Thirteen Tribes, within this series there will be thirteen books covering the ancient and incredibly powerful Thirteen werewolf tribes of the world. Laya is taken in by a human tribe after her parents are murdered, but the kindness of this tribe is nothing more than a hold on some insurance against the brothers wrath. Laya doesn't know anything about what a hybrid actually is, she's never ever met one except for her parents and with her being so small still when they were killed she never learnt anything about her own kind. Laya is later met with a brother in particular named Groban who claims her as his after seeing what she is, he hides her and protects her inside his cabin, but why? There is a whole truth that starts to unravel itself and both Laya and Groban are to learn things about themselves that they didn't know, things that will lead in the truth coming to light in the fight between werewolves, vampires and humans.

I even include a smiley as a caption. Immediately, Nancy calls me on the phone and starts berating me. "Derek was just cracking a joke! Why are you being so petty, huh? And here I thought you were mature!" I end the call immediately before texting her, "Let's get a divorce."

"I'm sorry, but this flight is overbooked. We're going to compensate you twenty dollars. Please deplane immediately." The head flight attendant had my suitcase in a death grip. Her tone wasn't a request—it was an order. I gave her a cold look, then turned my gaze to the man beside us, who had just been escorted onto the plane, draped in designer labels. Several security guards dragged me off the plane by force as I watched the cabin doors close. I laughed in sheer disbelief. The "Mr. Stafford" she was talking about was William Stafford, and he was terminally ill. What she didn't know was that I was the very "Phantom Surgeon" his entire family had been on their knees begging for three months—pleading with me to fly to Scallow City and perform his surgery today. Since they threw me off the plane, I won't be doing that operation. As for William, he can go ahead and wait for death.

Later Luke tried to harm Aria, but he felt a fatherly affection for her. When he implanted a bomb to kill Aria, Luke saw Amora, Aria’s mother, and realized that Aria was his daughter. He felt guilty and tried to stop the bomb along with Zaiden. Aria was rescued by Zaiden and they express their love for each other. Amongst the cute love scenes between Aria and Zaiden, one-day Zaiden proposed to Aria, and she accepted his proposal and they live happily ever after.
