Olivia I took my coffee from the barista with a grateful smile, the scent of freshly ground beans wrapping around me like a comforting blanket. After the long day at work, I needed this little escape. I found a quiet corner table by the window at Crescent Moon Café, sinking into the plush armchair with a contented sigh. The café buzzed with the gentle hum of evening conversations, laptops clicking, and the occasional hiss of the espresso machine. Perfect white noise to decompress.

“Then where should I get it from, sir?” I rested my chin on my hand, watching her like a puzzle I was trying to solve. “There’s a café three blocks from here — ‘Café D’Amore.’ You’ll find it near the fountain. You’ll walk past the bakery, cross the small bookshop on the right, take a left turn where the street narrows, and then… order a double espresso with two cubes of brown sugar, no cream.” She blinked. “That’s… quite a walk.”

“Cafe?” They grin, almost sitting up in unison. “Cafe it is.” We decide on a nearby cafe, known for its strong coffee and its fluffy, cloudlike croissants.
