I spun around, his eyes were wide with some edge of savagery in them and he was baring his teeth in a smile as he swung for my head. Was it just me or was his attack a bit too slow and predictable? I bent down, spun around and side stepped him with ease. If I didn’t know any better, I would have said that he was not even trying to really hurt me. I kept running. Together, we charge into the fray. Ten Ashwalker wolves rush towards with sinister looks in their eyes. Dory looks at me. “Luna, I am worried. Are you sure you don’t need my help?” I take a step forward and release a loud growl that shakes the earth. The Ashwalkers wolves stop as the vibration from the sound shakes their bodies and they feel weak to move forward. I raise my paws and bring out those long, point claws. They glow with the white light again and I swipe those claws across all of their bodies at lightning speed.

The largest of the three, its scarred muzzle a terrifying testament to past battles, lunged with a ferocity that seemed to ignite the very air around it. Elara reacted on instinct, a lightning-fast sidestep that took her out of the direct path of its snapping jaws. The wolf’s momentum carried it past, its frustration manifesting in a low, guttural snarl that vibrated with raw aggression. Before it could fully recover, the other two wolves closed in, their movements a chaotic dance of snapping teeth and extended claws. They were a whirlwind of fur and fangs, their attacks less about strategy and more about overwhelming Elara with sheer, unbridled savagery.

It didn’t look like they are going to kill Devlin and Lucy. However, with the smirk on their face, Devlin and Lucy threw the guns at the corner wolves diverting other wolves. And within seconds, the strong boney claws, not so long, not so short were grown on their hands and toes tearing their shoes. They are yellowish-white. Before those wolves know what was happening, both Lucy and Devlin started to attack them with their claws.

“We need to prep you some more.” My wolf howled in protest, a raw, gruff sound that echoed through my mind. I struggled to calm him, to push him back, but he was as restless as I was. My claws extended, the sharp tips catching the faint light, but I forced them to retract. Every muscle in my body shook with the effort.

So, trying to control them using my alpha power would result in nothing. Sphinx tried to push out; my face momentarily shifted to his, but I suppressed him. Instantly, I willed my canines out and felt my teeth elongate and sharpen. I extended my claws and crouched, ready to pounce on the wolves circling me. The first wolf attacked impatiently. I ducked its attack, crouching under it as it was in midair. I slashed its abdomen rapidly and pounced to the other side before its gore splattered on the floor.

Damn, I’ve never seen anything this impressive from a werewolf. The sheer staggering amount of control is mind-boggling. I could only do claws and teeth before I had to complete the shift. The hellhound still had his claws out. No one shifts back partially. That I’ve never seen. You shift back fully and then get the claws back on. It’s too hard otherwise. The human mind is more open to restraint than that of a wolf.

It was apparent that the cloaking was no longer there. The wolf snarled at me as he used his sharp claws to flip my body over. He was a massive brown wolf with startling red eyes.
