He sat with his eyes on the floor and the posture of someone who was genuinely not well, which was true enough that the rival captain didn’t need to interpret it. Another moment of silence. Then the captain stood and moved toward the door. He reached it and put his hand on the frame and stopped with his back to us. He turned his head slightly, not fully back, the way you turn when you have one more thing to say and you’re going to say it without making it a conversation. “I hope that would help on the ice,” he said. Then he left. The door closed and we sat with what had just happened for a moment before either of us reached the next thing.

he added, stepping around the bench to block my light. “I don’t scare easy,” I replied, standing up and fixing him with a smile that didn’t reach my eyes. Blaze looked good in the worst way. His hair was still wet from the morning shower, curling slightly at the ends like it had no idea how to behave. His shirt was slung over his shoulder, forgotten, leaving his chest completely bare and unapologetic. he replied. "So, we'll be taking my private plane and will be at our destination at exactly 1600 hours. Hop on!" he told Isabella. She was shocked to see the superior side of the Captain. He was like giving commands to his troops. "That's what you say to your co-soldiers?" she asked while giggling. "What co-soldiers? There is no such thing." he laughed at her chosen words. "Well basically yes, but I'm more stiffed and I shout most of the time when talking to them. They can't see this soft side of me. It's only for you!" Carter was very naughty. He loves teasing Isabella.

he yells. I shake my head. "Like you'd leave without me!" I see him smile his goofy smile. He's missing four teeth in the front and has two silver teeth in the back. His greying hair is tied clumsily behind a dirty and worn down green bandana, making him look like a crazy old man. He may look crazy, and is crazy, but he has the biggest heart out of anyone. He's treated Nate and I like his very own children for years now. Ever since our first captain, Black Blood, was fatally injured during an on-going war and in his last dying breath named Nate the new captain. Black Blood took us to be his very own children since he never had any of his own. The memory of him brought tears in my eyes but I

His jaw dropped completely, as he saw the captains moving with the shoe on the water surface like master sea surfers who knew their stuff. He had heard of anti-gravity shoes, but he had never heard of this water cheat. “Try your best to escape.” The overall Spartan Captain, Captain Vladimir’s deep voice commanded the last battleship on the comm as he led his Captains to fight for their last battleship’s survival.

The Captain is alone at one of the corner tables, reviewing what looks like a list of rotating assignments. His frown is permanent, his posture stiff even when he’s seated. Bianca approaches slowly, hands folded in front of her. “Captain.” He looks up, surprised, but nods. “Miss Bianca.” She smiles. “I hope I’m not interrupting.” “You are,” he says, but he sets the paper aside anyway.
