Chloe smirked. Elise stared at her card and pulled out a king card. "Get that" She chuckled "Hey." A few minutes later, they finished the third round of the game. Chloe went out of the room to get some snacks. She sat down and started bringing the snacks out of the mini basket; underneath were two books she had picked from her room. Elise picked one, attracted by the cover. "Be careful, that book made me shed rivers." Chloe smiled "Why would you cry over a book? It's just a book." Elise commented

I informed her I will be waiting for her. In that time, I called Lav and gave my orders. I hope my plan will go accordingly. After an hour, Clara came and sat across from me. " I know you. you won't come to me unless and until you want something from me. " I just showed my teeth. I took the book and placed it in front of her. " What is this? " asked Clara. " Just read and explain to me," I said. She just glared at me. " if you explain what is in this book. I will surely buy you an ice cream "

My head suddenly pounded. For a split second, I saw dark water. Flashing police lights. A black SUV disappearing into falling snow. Then everything vanished as quickly as it appeared. I grabbed the side of my head. The pain disappeared, leaving nothing behind except confusion.

“You only read encyclopedias or manuals on chess. How are any of the books you looked at anything like that? They’re fiction?” Clay just smiled, handing the woman his shiny gold card that signified his membership to the bookshop. “Like I said, it was just based off my tastes.” With that, the young man gave a brief gesture of thanks to the woman, collecting his bag as he made his way out of the shop. Cobble stones fresh beneath his feet and alive with the scent of autumn when he glanced back at his blonde friend. “Let’s head to the orphanage now, shall we?”

My eyes landed on books, portions, maps, carved objects and barrels that contained pepper red substances. “What’s this place?” I curiously asked. “We call it the dark room, it contains everything you need to know about Shadowclaw. The book over there is yours to read. It will give you instructions on how to help him.” He answered. I picked the book which was titled ‘LUNA’ and walked out.

Byron I strode through the dark corridors of the dungeons, passing by several cells, most of which held Hollowborns we captured. Hollowborns were the second plague of our time. Capturing supernaturals and stealing their magic. I always enjoy torturing them. But today, I'd come for a different reason. I stopped before the cell that held the werewolf. The gates had been laced with wolfsbane, making it impossible for her to try to escape. I could see that there was row after row of cages of roaring alphas chained. I flinched with the betas with the sound increasing while Dr. Dawson stood his ground and smirked. "Those are people in cages?" I stuttered out my sentence wiping my eyes as I couldn't believe what I was seeing.
