(Sera's POV) The wind on the mountain sliced across my cheeks like knives. I stood behind the perimeter line the rescue crews had set up, watching the wreckage from a distance, my eyes cold. Cassian was like a beast that had completely lost its mind. He wove through the flames, tearing open red-hot metal with his bare hands. I could see clearly that the skin of his hands scorched, his nails split, blood everywhere. Derek and the others tried to hold him back, and he flung them off like ragdolls.

Cassie said in a raised voice. "Age has nothing to do with it, Cassie he is one of the most powerful vampires in this country." Marcella told her "Great, When do we leave?" Cassie asked as she got up. "Now your father is waiting in the carriage." Marcella said. Cassie turned to face her. "I'm tell you now mother, if he so much as lays a hand on me I will kill him." Cassie screamed. Marcella grabbed her roughly by the arm and squeezed it hard.

Maddox stumbled, trying to catch his breath. “Don’t. Ever. Touch. Her. Again.” Casio bellowed, his voice low, trembling with rage. Around us, chaos erupted. Casio’s men emerged from the shadows, each taking one of Maddox's men as a fighting partner. The air filled with grunts, moans, and sounds of fists meeting flesh. But the sound became muffled as my eyes landed on Casio. He came. He really came for me. Through the haze, I felt a hand on my shoulder; my gaze met Andy’s.

Cassian growled. His chest heaved, and flashes of wild, chaotic energy flickered deep in his pupils. His hands were shaking so hard his claws were beginning to push through, the sharp outline of a shift beginning to form. He began yanking drawers open again, so violently he nearly tore the tracks out of the wood. The berserk aura swept through the closet like a hurricane, sending ties and jewelry flying into the air. Wynn was forced back by the sheer force of his loss of control. She felt a sharp, crushing pain in her lungs.

' Those were the last words Caser said to me before he risked his life on Kent. I saw Erza's eye-reds and guessed Erza's next move. She wanted to rush to support Caser despite her exhaustion. I looked over at Caser again. He and Kent were fighting fiercely, and on the surface, it might look like a fair match, but I knew Caser wouldn't last much longer. He was like an oil lamp about to go out, trying to use up all his remaining oil to flash once before it went out forever. I rushed over to Erza, bit her neck, and darted away in shock.

I hear a faint crack as his skull cracks and he collapses on the ground, hurt but still alive and counsious. “Soleil, pellet him with stormagt and keep him busy”. Marta commands. “I’ll check on Gudrun”. I throw three witch bombs on him. Two hits their target, but he doesn’t react to the poison. “I need a break”. Siri moans. “Let him go. I can handle this”. My face turns hard with anger. When Siri lets go of the mental control Casper instantly gets to his feet. “Wow, what a rush !” He laughs and shakes his head. “Where did the red-head go ?”

I didn’t understand what that look was about though. “I am happy for you. Now don’t fu.ck it up or someone else will take your place.” Jess surprised me with her words. “Don’t worry, I won’t.” “Ares, can I talk to you for a moment.” She got up, grabbing Ares and pulling him away from everyone. “Hey, nice to finally meet the brothers. I am Cas. I am sorry about my sister. I heard she’s been bothering you. She’s… well she’s a crazy bi.tch.” Cas amused me. He seemed so different from his sister.

“And when the Supernatural-king-slash-supernatural-CEO says no, apparently we say ‘yes sir.’” I groan. “I hate him.” Richard gives me a look that says liar. Emmanuel tosses me a granola bar. “Eat. You’ll need strength to fight off all the crazy today.” I open it, chewing angrily. “What crazy?” Richard gestures at the door. Cassain is standing outside. Leaning against his car like a sin with a pulse. Black shirt stretched over muscles. Tattoo glinting on his forearm. Hair is still wet from a shower. Eyes glowing faint gold like he barely slept.
