Merlin's soul was already crushed, and she looked like a living doll. After losing their child and some of her powers, she started drowning in darkness. A bright orange tail with the tips of her fins are a beautiful ruby red. She has big, round, emerald green eyes surrounded by thick eye lashes. I curiously asked as all I could see were nothing but smoke and fire. “You’re still in my house, Emir.” Merlin devastatingly replied. “What happened?” “You tell me?” He was looking at my lower part. I immediately looked down as was completely shocked I am totally naked and felt abashed as I covered my private parts with my bare hands. “What do you mean? I don’t know. I am not here, remember?” “You’re not here but your body shifted into a gigantic fox and all your tails stretching out blazing.” Merlin was truly an expert on magic as with just one flip from his finger, the house gets back to normal and I got my clothes back.

I leaned against the cold stone wall, sinking into a hollow stupor for a long while. Just then, two servants passed by the dungeon door. Their hushed whispers drifted in, every word cutting deep into my ears. “Isolde’s cursed puppet craft is dreadfully perilous. She hunted and drained countless lesser merfolk for pearl curse powder, merely to gather enough ritual materials.” “Indeed. Once the puppet is complete, it will crush all rebels within the vampire clan, and drain this mermaid’s last breath entirely. Lowly foreign creatures are born to be offerings for our master’s sorcery.”

The little girl’s eyes were wide, her small hand gripping Diana’s fingers tightly. “Merlin…” she whispered, her voice uncertain. Kelvin, on the other hand, had gone quiet, his eyes darting between the adults, sensing the tension even if he didn’t fully understand it. Diana didn’t look at either child.
