I nodded,not quite whether it would be wiser to deny it. “Oh,poor kitty,…” The room door opened with a slight bang. “Babyyyy!!!!”a curvy lady,with a shrinking blonde hair screamed,rushing in for a hug from Adam. Adams reaction changed a he put on a closed lip smile. “Why didn't you call?” “Nothing”her eyes moved from my feet up to my face like she was inspecting me with curiosity.

Jeremy offered courteously. Cathy looked at Jeremy and Madeline, seemingly pondering for a moment before she finally answered, “Okay.” Adam suddenly lowered his eyelids after he watched the familiar figure turn around. There was still some lingering warmth in his palm but it was not a warmth that he could hold. The car slowly drove onto the road and Cathy sat in the backseat with Madeline. She was holding the teddy bear Adam had bought for her son back then in her hand. She knew she had let down a man who wanted to love her and care for her, but she had no choice.

The more people actively protecting Adom, the better off they all would be. "Keep on eye on him and come find me if he needs me," Adom ordered the cats after he had splashed his face with some cold water. The cat was the only one to respond, but that was good enough. Sebestian already felt ridiculous talking to the cats despite weeks of Ethan assuring that they could understand him.

Felix shouted to be sure that Adam heard him from the stairs. “You can go fuck yourself Felix!” Adam shouted back.” Felix spent the next days going on different dates with different kind of people. He had felt a connection during some of those dates but some where just awful and depressing. He had gone on a date with a cat lady once. She had seemed pretty normal till the topic of pets came up. She then proceeded to show Felix her gallery of cats and all the things she liked and didn’t like about each and every one of her thirty two cats.

“He’s telling the truth about the Thirteen Pack.” Jess and James exchanged glances before bursting into laughter. “You’re losing it, John,” James chuckled. “The whole world knows Adam went mad and killed his family.” “I know it sounds crazy,” John admitted, “and yes, he may have suffered from confabulation. You said so yourself once.” “It’s real,” John insisted, his voice rising.

The scent of panic disappeared, but the fear scent grew stronger. Whatever she’d done had terrified him. We headed over to them. Adam was practically skipping. If not for the fact that I knew he had a mate, I would worry he was in love with mine as they shared a smile. She was good at relationships and people. I needed to remember that she didn’t only belong to me in a lot of ways.
