The Cuckoo's Egg

The Cuckoo's Egg

I personally saw him off at the airport, and he died one month later after accidentally consuming food that was laced with rat poison while wandering the streets. In my past life, he had pushed me right down the stairs to my death. Five years was not nearly enough of a punishment for him. Under my command, his demise was made certain, and he was buried right next to Winnie for good measure. I had finally avenged myself. No one would ever be able to steal my life from me ever again.

I Can't Eat, so He Feeds Someone Else

I Can't Eat, so He Feeds Someone Else

"How am I supposed to survive anorexia?" The top comment read, "Get yourself a boyfriend who's a chef! My husband changes up the menu every single day of the year, and even the apples he slices for me are always shaped like little bunnies. I've basically fallen in love with food because of him!" A netizen gushed, "Whoa! Where do you even find a gem like that?"

In search of true heart

In search of true heart

Its instinct screamed danger, but it was too late. The poison, concealed within the milk by a malevolent hand, worked swiftly. The cat's movements slowed, its vibrant fur dulled, and its breaths grew shallow. With a final gasp, it collapsed, a tragic victim of human folly and cruelty. Silence descended upon the lab once more, broken only by the distant chirping of birds outside. The cat, a mere innocent seeking sustenance, had met its untimely end—a casualty in a world where even the simplest of desires could lead to tragedy.

I Am Nothing Like You

I Am Nothing Like You

It was alright until it died with your arrow! Well she is right. It was in winter last year when Erica and I found a dead Raven in the forest. We bought it to the Academy. When Catty almost broke down seeing it. That was the first time she used the spell of life and bought it back. She was so happy every time she saw at it until one day it flew out and an arrow just bought it back down. It was later when we realised that the one who killed Catty’s little raven was her beloved brother, Ethel.

At first I was a bit confused by the different characters appearing all at once. I will like to suggest if the author could create a scene break to signify a change in the scene, maybe a( ***) in the middle will be just find. Above all, I enjoy reading the book. Keep up the good work!

Alpha Maddox's Mortal Temptation

Alpha Maddox's Mortal Temptation

“You know that I didn’t ingest that poison voluntarily to protect her, right? I just happen to be disgracefully into peanuts.” “You would have, though,” he mumbles against my hair. “What?” “Protected her.” I gently push him away, too hungry to argue over whether I’m a good person. I might like him better when he’s terrified of me. “Listen, I’m going to feed before I’m tempted to bite one of Daisy’s stuffies or—” I gasp. “Fuck.” “What?” “Fuck, fuck, fuck. Sparkles. Anna’s damn fucking cat. I forgot about him! Did someone feed him? Is he dead?” How long can cats go without eating? An hour? A month?

Catherine's eyes twinkled with joy as she ogled at the sparrow. "Oh my God. You pretty little cutie pie, I never knew Mr. Mute would have a pet sparrow. You little thing; you're so gorgeous. I wonder what's your name blue." Catherine said cheerfully as she talked to the sparrow as the sparrow made chirrup notes as if talking back. "I love you already." Catherine smiled as she put her forefinger in the cage and teased the sparrow. "Thank God I found someone to talk to in this brooding, silent room of his," Catherine said as she moved away.

I still sticken with it, please come through with an update or anything letting us know the status of this story please! I’ve read 2 other books by you which is why I started this book knowing it was ongoing but it has been well over a month now with no indication of what’s going on with this story

I am so enjoying this series. can hardly put this book down. Please Author, I think it would make a great storyline if Angela and Luca are mated...so much baggage to overcome:- he was in love with her sister, he is a bit older than her and she seems to get on his nerves... a lot to work with there!

His Plump Mate

His Plump Mate

Canary is holding a bottle of while and two wines glasses. “Yeah?” I call back as I return to the table with the plans. We are organizing teams to work in different sections. “Look what I brought!” She said almost singing and with a big smile on her face. “Why?” I asked sarcastically. “Yeah. Why?” Isaiah asked. Canary has a mischievous look in her eyes. “I want a drink while watching all these gorgeous men work.” I burst out laughing and give her a hug. “I freaking love you, girl. You always seize the moment.”

Really enjoying using this app! It’s easy to navigate, has a great selection of books, and the rewards make reading even more enjoyable. I’ve already discovered several books I might not have found otherwise. Definitely worth downloading if you love reading.

Pros: Great story Attention grabbing You won't want to stop reading it Cons: The Chapters are short The follow up chapters continue the same monologue from previous chapters instead on making different scenes, pov, and conversations Needs: Chapters need more paragraphs, combine chapters into 1

A Few Hundred Poppies

A Few Hundred Poppies

Pursing his lips, unimpressed, he picked Rani off the ground. The cat purred irritatedly as West placed the gun back in the drawer after clicking the safety back on with his teeth. The mattress sunk significantly when he placed the cat on it, indicating that it had indeed grown all too fond of canned tuna. It stretched out its ink black paws to express its hunger with a whiny meow. West scratched the back of his head. Jim would kill him if what Rani had broken was something important - he'd practically begged to take the cat along with them.

A Ruling Passion: Mr Tremont's Priceless Little Bride

“Come on.” Not daring to be slow, Arianne took Rice Ball’s medication out. “Uh… Either I grab Rice Ball’s legs and you feed it the medicine, or we swap…” Mark glanced at the lifeless cat and chose to swap. When he came into contact with the cat, it was as if Rice Ball realized what was about to happen, for it sprang up and scurried under the couch.

Rude Awakenings

Rude Awakenings

“He went all the way to Thailand to see a Fluffy-Backed Tit-Babbler. I couldn’t fucking believe it.” Shaking his head, Colton tugged his phone from his pocket, typing a message to Kate; Did you know there’s a bird called a Tufted Titmouse? He could picture her face, reading the message with a disbelieving shake of her head as she Googled, seeing if he were telling the truth. He could hear her giggle, the little snort she made when she found something especially funny.

This was so good. The main characters were properly fleshed out and I ended up loving Paloma. Colton essentially being a redeemable bum in need of therapy and stability was super realistic. Everyone having regular jobs was a breath of fresh air. The sex has you wishing you could be Kate. Solid read

Definitely one of my favorites, love the journey to love for Colton and Kate. They feel so real and it’s a roller coaster of emotions, with a psycho stalker for more thrills. Not sure why it’s broken into 2 books but reading back to back still flows. Thank you, author!!
