Many times his eyes darted to the edge of the path he was passing. The movement in the thickets brought Orda to a halt again, his horse grunting and neighing softly. Orda drew the double-edged ax he threw onto his back. The handle of the object was rather long and silvery in color. Each blade bears a sign of a roaring tiger. “Whoever you are, come out,” Orda said, his voice was firm yet still. Even so, a drop of sweat seemed to be dripping down his forehead.

Magus Jade cast, as his chest kept releasing red strings of alar, absorbed by the magic circle he stood on. Kael covered his eyes as the petals along the tornado blazed into red flames, slowly gathering downward. The frozen lake trembled as the tornado pierced through the sheets of snow until it hit the ice. The sharp petals slashed through the surface, deeper and deeper, while the group stayed on the surface in the middle. “You’re making a hole …” Kael said as he glanced at the old mage. Magus Jade’s glowing red eyes turned to Kael. “Let us hope our hunch was right,” he winced, “I’m pouring my entire alar to reach the cave … if there truly is …”

The other lady, who looked nothing like someone old enough to be a mother, snapped. “You have no rights to be here talk more of being in possession of the sacred band for that long a time. Who do you think you are?” the woman yelled. “Do I need to remind you of your role and who you really are?” “No,” Kate shook her head negatively. “I’m a guardian…a ruler of the night.” She muttered. I heard a deep growl and I turned to know who it came from. Right there and then, I saw Morgan got stabbed by a sword. I gasped.

that no matter what he looked like I would end him. “ What have we here?A prize I will enjoy playing with before I rip you to shreds.” He said in a deep raspy voice. His face was scarred yet handsome and he looked menacing. He looked to be an older cat who had fought a few battles in his time. I smiled letting the electric currents from the air wrap around my hands and feeling my eyes change to electric blue. “ I am your end Kitty cat.” I said in a calm voice. Inside my rage was boiling but I needed to be quick in order to help Selwyn if need be. The need to protect my mate was very strong. Keyla could not tell the extent of the Elf’s injuries. Another arrow bounced from the shield, and the Mage turned her attention to Leyna. Keyla tried to conjure a blast of her own, but could only manage a smaller burst that did not get through. The Mage cast her bolt, but Leyna leapt aside, jumping from the saddle to land lithely on her feet as her horse ran aside. She drew another arrow. The Mage gave her a mocking smile, knowing it would not reach her.

Kema's team was already there. The scene was one of ruthless coordination. A female mage with a scar across her right eye stood at the forefront, her hands glowing green as thick vines snaked up from the earth to entangle a snarling werewolf—from its yellow eyes and bloodstained fur, it was likely the same werewolf that had fled at the sound of Kema's voice. The beast thrashed wildly, its claws swiping at the air, but the vines held firm. The mage's face was taut with concentration, sweat dripping from her brow as her glowing hands trembled. Another mage moved swiftly, his fists encased in icy blades. With controlled movements, he struck at the rogue, forcing it to stagger back and weakening

I could not comprehend anything, but that was because a ritual was being performed while a frigid wind blew through the chamber. “He took a strand of your hair," she said, referring to Claus. Everything made sense now since I could not move a muscle. I could hear everything that was happening yet I could respond. “What will happen to me?" I asked. "Nothing if I get to interrupt the ritual here, sip this," she added, handing me a liquid that appeared hot but was chilly as I drank from it.

“Tyr, drip this in your eyes!” Magus tossed a bottle toward Tyr. Tyr opened it and a stench came out of it. “What the hell is this?” Tyr asked with his hand covering his nose. “They’re cow’s tears! You can see those things coming from the underworld after dripping them in your eyes. Simply put, I never had the opportunity to use it in our world, so it might have long since expired. Just deal with it.”
