Chapter 46: A Desperate Gamble The cavern held its breath as Evie, a beacon of chaotic energy, charged towards the colossal beast. The creature, its massive form momentarily stunned by the sudden burst of light, turned its fiery gaze upon her. Time seemed to slow down. Every tremor of the beast's muscles, every flicker of its glowing eyes, was etched into Evie's mind. With a desperate cry, she unleashed a torrent of chaotic energy, a swirling vortex of blue light aimed directly at the creature's face.

Tristan moved out the giants way just in time as the bat, hit the ground with a bang. Trix swore she felt it shake. She scrambled to her feet and rushed to Tristan's side. Suddenly a smaller one ran from beyond the treeline.
