Anna Anita slowly sat up against the pillows, her hand resting gently on her flat stomach. She looked at me with a sly, knowing smile. "Now they're all gone," she said, her voice light but carrying an edge of mischief. "Won't you hug me? I'm sure you're dying to do that but couldn’t because you hate being perceived as weak." I scoffed loudly, crossing my arms. "Delusional much? Who’s dying for a hug? Definitely not me."

Benita said, Anita nodded, grateful for Benita's support. "You're right, Benita. I need to be brave and face this head on. I can't keep living in this state of confusion and uncertainty. I owe it to myself to seek out a better life." Anita explained, few weeks later, Anita took small steps towards her big change. She researched new cities, looked for something to keep her mind busy at all times, and even reached out to a few people living in different places. Slowly but surely, she began to feel a glimmer of hope.

She wanted to sleep and woke up the following morning to realize it was all a dream. Anita feels her center still aching, like Liam's rod is still in there, and she remembers how he had carried her up and banged her hard in his office. As she enters their estate gate, the estate security men did not stop her either, as they're familiar with her. She walks towards her house gate and unlocks it, as she has her own spare key. She enters their compound and locks the gate from within, then she walks closer to their house. Mrs. Tonia Baker is still in their living room, waiting restlessly for Anita to arrive home, as she paces up and down, wondering what has happened to her eldest daughter.

Becky tries to help Anita out of the washroom but Yamileth refuses. She doesn't want Becky to touch her. Becky arranges her hair and cleans her face again with the back of her hand as she limps out of the office of Mr. Cheriton. "Hold heeler her not fall." Adan tells Becky as he sees how Anita limps out alone. "Don't touch me!" Anita barks at Becky as she puts her hand on her shoulder. Becky looks at her boss and tries to hold Anita who stops limping and shoves her hand away.

(She gets up from her bed and walks s€ductively towards him) Anita: I'm sure you were angry with me early today, But I know how to calm you down (wraps her arms around his neck) Paul: Anita... (removes her hands) Look, I wasn't angry with you, I'm just tired of our ''relationship". Anita: But Paul, why are you doing this? Paul: I don't mean to hurt your feelings but I have to please myself first by being with who makes me happy Anita: (angrily) You're talking about the baker's daughter, Isn't it? Paul: (sighs) Yes. Anita: Are you kidding me? What does she have that I don't? She's just a pauper and I'm a princess and not just any princess, A s€xy and beautiful princess!

Anita moved forward, gracefully lifting her glass as the cameras flashed and the focus of the room turned to her. Her voice reverberated around the hallway as she declared, "To my loving husband, Nathan Grant." And to those who believe they can shatter us... pay close attention. as this is just the start. Anita was more than just the wife of a billionaire at that time. Everyone who dared to misjudge her would be destroyed by this woman. Harry Walker, too? Her first target had just been him. Officially, the storm had started.

Instead, he nodded. "Fair enough." I silently thanked him for changing the subject. Some stories weren't ready to be told. Not yet. Footsteps echoed from the hallway. Anita walked back into the kitchen looking completely different. Her hair hung neatly over her shoulders, still damp from the shower, and she'd changed into a striped blue-and-black dress that somehow made her look brighter than before. She smiled as soon as she smelled breakfast. "Oh my God." "The pancakes are real." "I told you they were."

CHAPTER 8: AGAINST THE SINK ANITA'S POV “Oh my God—” My voice fractures, jagged and uneven, trembling with every breath. My body quakes, shivering under the weight of what is happening, under the relentless pressure of it. When the fuck… when the fuck did everything spiral into this? The question burns through my skull like a fever, chaotic and raw, but my body doesn’t care, doesn’t listen. My body betrays me, surrendering piece by piece, nerve by nerve, until there is no hesitation left.

The bank teller quirked an eyebrow at me with a smirk on their face. Where was that attitude coming from? Sure I had been very late; but surely I wasn’t the first person to have to reschedule an appointment. “Yes, I’m sure. I’ll be here early even.” With that I finalized the appointment and went on my way. I was going to stop by the bakery and check on Heather before her shift ended. It was her first time to be by herself until closing and the girl was a nervous reck on a good day. **** The bank teller watched as the former Mrs. Swanson left the lobby out the front door. Making sure no one else was around, she pulled out her cellphone.

Anton said while cupping his wife's forehead and hugging her until she fell asleep. *** In the morning when Anita wanted to go to the kitchen and make breakfast for her sister-in-law she met Mbok asih. The servant at Monica's house looked at Anita doubtfully. "Morning," greeted Anita with a smile. "Mr. Anton's sister, right?" asked Mbok Asih. "Yes, I'm staying overnight. I celebrated Monica's birthday last night," Anita replied. Mbok Asih noticed something odd about Anita; this child had always been arrogant. She thought she owned the house even though her brother was only staying at his wife's house. But this time she was calm and friendly.
