What else are you looking for?” “Everything she didn’t say.” “That’s not how this works.” “It is now.” “Colin, you don’t even remember her. You’re chasing something you don’t understand.” “I will.” Silence stretched between us. “Come back,” he said. “We’ll handle this properly.” “I’m already handling it.” “You’re making it worse.” “Then let me.” I ended the call before he could say anything else.

It was easy to tell he was one of them too, I knew all he had to say was how beautiful I was and how he’d like to be friends with me. I entered the car, ignoring the attendant and began driving away. I was trying to find the perfect music for my sour mood when he pulled up beside me, driving ahead as he blocked my path abruptly. I was enraged. Was he that desperate? Was I that beautiful that he had the strength to chase after me?
