I was standing near the parking lot after having lunch with my friends. Suddenly an enchanting scent hit my nostrils. It was a fusion of jasmine, rose, and honey. The smell of my mate. My wolf was excited as well. I followed the scent towards a tree. She was sitting there reading a book. She was munching a chocolate bar and smiling while reading the book. I felt both excited and angry. Excited about getting her as my mate and angry for me being an asshole. She will never forget the things that I did to her.

She had used up all her strength running with Finley. He got in and immediately took off. Driving around the side of the trailer and onto the road. As they passed the fight, she caught Quinn’s horrified stare. And then she saw him turn and run towards Asher’s jeep. Huxley was driving way too fast. The car was sliding and slipping all over the dirt road. And then, it started raining. Apparently the old vehicle they were in didn’t have working windshield wipers. She saw a flash in her mirror and saw headlights catching up to them. Quinn was coming … he was behind them, chasing them.

I run as fast as I can. When I felt like I was no longer chased by that guy, I lean on a wall and relax. God, why are all of these happening so suddenly? I almost jumped on my feet when I was in a corner by a guy I met earlier. He's leaning closer to me, he smells so nice, it's a mix of mint and smoke. So all this time he's smoking? He's hella stunning! He's so handsome with his thick eyebrows and pointed nose. I must say that he's freaking rich by the watch on his wrist and the way his tuxedo perfectly suits his body. He leans closer to me and smells the side of my lips. My heart is beating so fast.

Chase smiles down at me. “I’m good” I said, looking into the grey orbs. They’re so much like the moon. It’s insane. No wonder I always got lost in them. They resembled something I dreamt could control me. “Are you ready?” he said and turned his gaze towards the setting sun. O wow, that was beautiful… The sky was lighting up in shades of fire. Mesmerising. Beautiful. I watched it disappear into the leaves of the trees before taking a deep breath. Any moment now…

My lower part was hurting like a bitch, and my ass felt as if it was on fire, but the feel of the warm sun’s rays on my skin put a smile on my face. „What are you smiling at?” I heard a puzzled voice I had known for so long that I opened my eyes, and my smile grew wider. My delta, Chase, was standing at a short distance, dressed in a simple pair of shorts. His hair was adorned with many leaves, making him look like a sad and outdated version of Peter Pan. „I’m sunbathing, and the sun feels nice. Can’t I enjoy that?” I joked as I closed my eyes again and stabilized my breathing.

It was the happiest he had seen his father in years. How could Mackenzie hide such a source of joy away from them? Away from his family? His rage lit up like a match in his stomach again, and he fought to suck in deep breaths to put the tiny flame out before it turned into a whole burning bush. Chase stopped by the sea shore and stared into the horizon. The soft wind blew past his face, the breeze rustled his silk locs of hair, along with the leaves on the trees. The sun above was setting and looked beautiful. It was like every normal bright and sunny day.

I smirk. Not for long. I pick up my speed, feeling the wind on my face. The sun, now a huge ball of fire in the sky casts a solitary shadow on me as I run. And then Helios’ figure comes closer, and closer and closer and just like that, I have outrun him. I have outrun the fastest man in the whole of Morningstar. “The heck?!” I hear him growl but by now, I have left nothing but a trail of dust behind me.

Apollo, the Sun God, stood on a plateau of blazing light, the heat and intensity of the sun's core muted by his divine presence. He gazed across the golden expanse, where Jolene, his radiant fiancée, played with their children. The backdrop of towering solar flares and swirling plasma clouds only highlighted her ethereal beauty. Her laughter echoed like musical chimes amid the sun's roaring energy.

"Going up against you is an honor!" "So be it." "Let's go." Chase flew through the air, heading toward a trench not far from Heaven's Dominion. Gideon followed suit. Just like that, the battle began without warning. The Tier 4 Solar Titan Physique was more terrifying than ever. Four blazing suns hovered in the sky, illuminating the place and causing temperatures to soar. However, none of that seemed to faze Chase. He remained calm and expressionless, continuously unleashing the Five Emperors Warlord Fist. He used no other techniques and did nothing flashy.
