Hasn't the rule always been Christmas music starts on Thanksgiving day? The song changes and new lyrics quickly cover the silence. "Here comes Santa paws" makes my steps falter. How this song is worse than the chipmunks, I don't know, but it is. I pass by the line of carts—my sister's dog doesn't need that many Christmas gifts, even if she does treat him like her new baby. The cute little Yorkie was a gift from her new boyfriend. She thinks it's their chance to raise a puppy together, find out what kind of father he'll be and whether or not he is marriage material. I see it as more of a twelve- to eighteen-year reminder she'll have of this guy if they don't work out.

Nova’s POV Saturday night’s performance was supposed to kick off the Kissmas Extravaganza and it pretty much did. Most of the queens chose “Baby it’s cold Outside”, “Santa Baby” or “All I want for Christmas is You” for songs to dance to…I knew they would, so I went a different route. I went with Tori Kelly and Babyface’s version of “Let it Snow”. I do have other Kissmas Extravaganza numbers prepared as well.

I'd try my best, even though it's my first Christmas without Dean, since we aren't too big on holidays or relatives in general. Christmas was a sordid affair, dad and mum in a subdued mood as Felix Navidad came up in the speakers. Dean's favorite Christmas song, and he shows it by moving his body, so out of tune with the beat, it was downright funny. His chicken wings dance, and his almost perfect imitation of a rooster. I smiled sadly, cleaning my tears with the back of my hands. Dad and mum held on to each other, singing along to Silent Night the tears falling freely from their faces. They looked so beautiful together, even with the tears. Staring into space, all thought of the scrumptious

I was on the beach, looking out at the darkness of the ocean. I couldn’t see anything, but the emptiness. Thankfully, I heard a Christmas song in the distance. It added to the beauty and mystery of the dark ocean, like a beacon of hope amidst the darkness.
