Shivers of dread ran down my spine as I nervously surveyed the scene for a damn second, my eyes slowly adjusting to the horror that was to come later on.

The room buzzed with a mix of sorrow and determination, as the supernatural community came together to pay their respects. In the center of the hall, a large circular stage had been erected, bathed in a soft spotlight. Acrobats gracefully twirled through the air, their movements defying gravity as they mesmerized the audience with their aerial prowess. It seemed to be a real circus, although not well-known, and they had both animals and acrobats, and a side tent featuring different carnival games - even an old-fashioned freak show. Behind the bar was a glittering display of alcohol and above that was a burgundy wall decorated with autumnal swirls. To the right of the swirls was a round opening bordered with a gold frame. Almost all were crying while staring at the horses' organs. "How are we gonna get out here?" I asked. I squeezed my eyes close when the loudest scream of pain from the circus travelled in my ears. My jaw dropped with my eyeballs as one humanoid wolf exited the Circus. He looked around the horses while the people cried even louder. Almost everyone ran despite not knowing where to go but only a never-ending desert. The circus was the only place alive here and Dark Summoner killed it. We cannot get away here without our horses or choppers.

A fire breather performs near the grand entrance, timed with the crescendo of music. Somewhere to the left, a contortionist folds herself into a gilded hoop like human origami. And in the center of it all? The stage.

Zac’s pov The circus started as I watched a show being on display. The elders whispered amongst themselves while I looked around to see some of the crowd members enjoying it. I wondered—maybe I had been too harsh to label the circus a failure, or whatever it was I labeled it to be. Maybe it was not that bad. I mean… people seemed to be enjoying it right? It wasn’t that bad. Plus a lot of people around were with their families. The acts too were family friendly. Anyone from the lowest to the highest can watch and enjoy what was on display.
