She looked at him really looked and for the first time since the fire, she didn’t feel alone. She nodded slowly. “Then we start here.” Victor smiled faintly. “Rebuilding the world from its ashes?” “Exactly,” she said, eyes on the flickering console. “But this time, we build it right.” As they stood together in the ruined heart of the forgotten city, the lights around them began to brighten faint systems reawakening, power grids humming to life. Eden wasn’t dead after all. Somewhere beneath their feet, the network stirred, whispering through the dust:

But because my sister, Raven Webster, thought Snowviper was too terrifying to look at, she stole Blazewing for herself. Yet the feeling was unbearable, I wanted to die. Just when I was about to let the despair engulf me fully, I heard Mosi’s voice in my head. I think it was in my head or was she talking to me? “Kalama, let the fire in your heart burn, hot and fierce. You can control it, don’t be afraid.” Her voice sounded muffled, like I was under water. But I could still hear her. Her words woke something inside me. The vision of the little girl passed through my mind, vividly. It gave me the desire to make the fire burn in my heart.
