For once, the insistent hum of worry that usually plagued my thoughts was silenced. As I drifted into sleep, a familiar scene unfolded before me. Two white wolves glistened against the backdrop of silver moonlight, their fur almost ethereal. They circled around me, their eyes holding a wisdom I yearned to understand. This dream was no stranger to me, but tonight, there was a palpable urgency to it.

But as the peace settled over the small clearing, a sound drifted from the woods—a high-pitched, electronic "Ping" that lasted only a second. Silas froze. The sound was hauntingly familiar. It was the sound of a "Notification." Kaelen looked toward the tree line. A single, glowing "Pixel" was hovering in the air between two pines—a tiny, mercury-white spark that shouldn't have existed in the "Real World." "Dada," Kaelen whispered, his eyes turning a solid, glowing "Unmapped" violet for a heartbeat. "Someone is... 'Editing' the squirrel."

“My bedroom is not a storeroom. You cannot give me all these gifts. There is nowhere to move around.” “I didn’t give you all of them. Some are from pack members who are wishing you well.” I lied. Most of them were from me. She stared at me questioningly. Maybe I would not get away with it. I flashed her a smile. After a moment, she sighed and dropped it. I was relieved. “I dreamed that monkeys were trying to steal the Coyolxāuhqui stone.” The inner ends of her brows dipped, perturbed by her dream. A faint chuckle left me. “That sounds like a rake for winning the lotto. Monkey is the number twenty-three. That might be a powerball.”

The giant squirrel bounded after me with horrifying speed, snarling like a predator tasting fear. The witches all laughed at me as they recorded everything going on. I ran deeper into the forest, pushing branches aside and tripping over roots. Why does my life keep getting worse in this school? First, it was the dragons, and now the witches. I should've just gone back to my room rather than trying to participate in a game in a place I don't even belong. "Help me!" I screamed loudly, as the giant squirrel didn’t give up chasing me. Of course, it wouldn’t give up—not until Dahlia took off whatever spell she cast on it.

Dre got out of bed still in his underwear. Ethan sat in the sitting room, wearing running clothes and a white towel over his shoulder. “Where are we running to?” Dre asked, shocked. “It’s time for your morning run. Your schedule requires you to keep your feet moving,” Jax said, showing his tablet. “Are we wizards or something? This is 5 a.m.!” Dre exclaimed. “It’s not midnight—it’s 5 a.m. You’ll get used to it,” Jax said. The door opened, and another woman entered. Her eyes met Jax’s briefly before she looked away; they clearly had some tension.

Charlotte Sanguinite POV: I didn’t even bother with my slippers, my mind was hazy. It’s the same thing every night. The woods, that spot by the waterfall. I keep seeing it in my dreams. My hand, tightly held by the man walking next to me. I see the path we take. I need to see it. I need to go. My feet hit the wet mud, but I didn’t care. The dream from tonight jolted me awake, my heart pounding, this vicious need building inside my head, this throbbing sensation that won’t go away until I see it, until I know.

She decided she would take a look at the flower one last time before going to bed hoping to calm her down. On her way going she heard rusty at a tree bush not so far away, as the noise got closer and closer she found out that it was the same squirrel she had seen at Gardiana and wondered why it was here late at night. She slowly approached the squirrel and as she got closer the squirrel died suddenly. She was so scared and hurried to know what was wrong, as she looked she noticed tiny pieces of the flowers that she saw at Gardiana on the squirrels fur which were already dead. She didn’t want to panic until she made sure what she thought wasn't just an Illusion and wasn’t real so she immediat

But the difference between last night's dream and previous ones is that we are both yearning for each other's lips. "Why do my lips feel.." I'm still perplexed by my dream. Because I believe someone kissed me last night, or because I am simply overjoyed to have such a dream after 17 years of repeating the same dream over and again. "Good morning, sir?" someone said, and I looked around to see who it was. When I looked up, there was a squirrel with a face that looked like she hadn't gotten enough sleep the night before. "Good Morning squirrel, you didn't get any good night's sleep last night?" I greeted her back as I stood up from the floor.

“I can do that, but I won’t. My father had asked me to stay here to add to the security of the pack should anything go wrong.” Lucille opened her mouth to voice her opinion, but Yodah wasn’t done talking. “It’s true that I didn’t know who or what Prescott was until a few days ago, but the squirrel is more than capable for the job. He had been the one to stop the Alferic beast, something we the ancients had struggled with…” Sheila gasped now, putting Lucille in confusion. Does that statement alone verify the power of the squirrel? “Well, If that is so, then I will let it go.” Sheila said, a bit more relaxed than before.

His chest rose and fell in a steady rhythm, and with each breath, I found a fragment of peace. As Sebastian held me close, he continued to speak, his voice a soft murmur against the canvas of my anxiety.
