AUTHOR'S POV The grandfather clock stood tall on one wall of the men’s club, dinging faintly as midnight came. Axel sat at one end of the round table shuffling cards for their next round, while Dexter sat at the other, staring at nothing in particular, long lost in thought. All Dexter seemed to think about was how time wasn’t on his side anymore. He was lagging so far behind, that it made his insides churn. And it was all his grandpa’s fault.

There were clocks of different shapes, sizes and colours ticking away on the shelves and looking around for a bit, Loque Bella walked further in and approached the empty front desk. "Hello?" she called out and hit the bell. "Hello!" "Coming," a voice said from the back door and a moment later someone walked out of it. It was Gorette; not at all looking the way she was looking the last time she saw her but clean and elegantly dressed like she was going to a fancy tea party. "Good afternoon, how may I help you?" "Gorette?" "Yes, I am Gorette, owner and founder of The Winding Times clock shop."

He pointed his hands directly at where I sat.
