Her steps froze as she reached the royal garden. The whole place was filled with blood. Dead bodies were seen everywhere. Many soldiers were fighting. Everyone was killing each other. In front of her, her servants head was beheaded by the other soldier. Wolves were attacking the palace. Their eyes were blue in colour. “Werewolf clan? But didn’t we agree to peace?” Shama thought anxiously. Shama couldn’t stand watching so much blood. She was trained for fighting but her mind wasn’t ready for this. Her eyes were filled with tears. She hated it.

Howard and Clayton were dead—finally. When they hadn’t been able to lose Aurora and her team, they had decided to try to make a break for the jewelry store, using it as cover until they could make their way into the chamber below the floor. They thought they would at least be able to take out the two Hunters and impede the Guardian’s progress enough so that they could get away; they were wrong.

Not so far, I heard shuffling footsteps and I got alerted about the enemies coming in this way. “They are here.. We were considered their prey then, as they were all animal now. "I can't imagine any species being beyond saving . . . have you tried giving them mental health counseling or therapy of any type? I feel like in addition to whatever is being done to them." I was gasping as he moved consciously or unconsciously in front of me. He didn't comfort me. He just ignored my symptoms as my breathing calmed.

The air crackled with anticipation as the battlefield became our shared hunting ground. Without warning, Zack lunged at me with a lightning-fast speed, his claws extended to rend and tear. Instinctively, I dodged his attack, my agility matching his own. We moved in a deadly dance, our bodies twisting and turning, each strike and parry filled with lethal intent. I swiped at Zack with my powerful claws, but he countered with a swift dodge, retaliating with a series of ferocious bites. The clash of our fangs and the sound of our growls echoed through the night, blending with the wind that whispered through the trees.

He starts to head off to his room but I get in his line of sight and stop him first. “Kade! What the hell happened to you? Why are you so grumpy?” “Huh?” he asks, finally registering that it’s me in front of him. “Oh, sorry. Nothing happened, I’m not grumpy. Saw the rogue, but there was already a hunter on him and they took him down before he crossed over. That’s it, end of story,” he says shortly. “Really? And it was the same spot that the human was found at, right?”

they scurry away like startled mice. More Hunters emerge from the truck, spilling out like clowns from a clown car at the circus. Seven in total, each one looking more stern and serious than the last. A couple of them lug stretchers from the back of the truck and carefully load up the battered and bruised Hunters. One of the newly arrived Hunters catches my attention. Let's call him Mr. Aura, because, well, he's got this formidable aura surrounding him like a force field. His eyes sweep over me and the destroyed yard, taking in the scene with a keen, assessing gaze.

She bit her bottom lip, afraid of what his answer would be. “I honestly don’t know, Love. I’ve exhausted a lot of resources, but there is nothing on them. No dental records. No missing persons’ reports. Although I do have a theory…” This piqued her interest as her weary eyes started to shine brightly again. “And that would be…?” He placed his hands on either side of her face,capturing her attention. “I think they were Hunters.
