Violetta screamed, pulling me backward. However, the SUV was moving too fast, its tires screeching sharply against the road as it hurtled toward us. Violetta and I were forced against the roadside barrier with nowhere to retreat, our hearts almost stopping in terror. At the critical moment, a black car sped in from the side and executed a precise drift to block the SUV's path.
