I walked through the palace on instinct, each step heavier than the last until I reached the library. The scent of old parchment and candle wax clung to the air. Shelves stretched up to the ceiling, crammed with books most people had long forgotten. I scanned the rows, grabbing anything with even a mention of curses, or ancient rituals. My arms filled with books, but none of it felt like enough. “Alpha Rowan?” I turned to see the librarian, her face lined with age, but her eyes sharp and curious. “Do you need assistance?” “I need books on moonstones,” I said, voice rough. “Anything you have.”

Easton seemed to know what I was looking for as he led me to the shelves containing books on other species. “This isn’t even the public library.” He told me as he scanned the shelves. “You mean there’s another library?” I implored. “Yep, and it’s even bigger than this.” He chuckled. Easton found some books about Fae, and gestured for me to follow him. In a back corner of the library, there was a small area that seemed to be a small office space. He sat the books on the desk. “We use this when there are too many books to go through. You can sit anywhere with whatever books you want, though.” He said.

“Excuse me, sir? Will you be checking any of these books out?” He tilted his head at her in confusion. He had reserved no books. The robrarian expected his question and spoke once more. “Your friend with the tail thought you would need these.” She showed him the different titles. The Lust Chronicles, I Am What I Am Accept It, My Lycanthrope Lover, How Not To Be An Asshole, and more. He nodded his head in understanding. She was a cheeky person when she wanted to be. He liked that.

That way, she would never have the displeasure of hearing the name of Michael, Elisabeth or Aaron Vamcap again. Fortunately, there were more useful books there than she realized, since that place wasn't actually called a library for nothing. It was much larger than it looked, and among the huge collection of titles there were not only books on diverse subjects, but also a plethora of old novels, some in their first editions, which even made Rose a little more excited about the place, imagining that he could at least run away to read all that, while avoiding the Vamcaps... My aunt led me up the stairs to his library. His library was much bigger than I thought it would be. "I'll wait for you on this sofa. You can check for whatever you want." "Thank you, Aunt." I appreciated my aunt more than she'd ever know. "Go on Christy." I glanced through it all, the organised sections on wolves, packs, and other species. I picked up one at random, reading on the story of a werewolf–witch pair where the werewolf found his mate but she didn't understand the bond fully.

Elaine walked up the steps into the library. The smell of old books filled the air as she walked inside. Let me know if you have trouble finding it.”
