They were loud, overlapping, clawing at my skull. They never stopped. "Please!! Oh, please!! Somebody get him to stop!" "Don't shoot! I didn't—" "No!!!" "Not the ear!!" "Fuck!! Wait!!!" Too many voices. Why did everyone have to scream? They confused me! I tilted my head back to the ceiling, squeezed my eyes shut, and tried to rattle them out of me with a shake. Focus, Void. Focus. This is important. They didn't leave completely—they never did—but the volume dropped enough for me to keep my hands steady.

Damn it! Fuck, fuck, fuck! Move, bones! Get up! Get back on the bike! I scream at myself, but it’s useless. Every command stays locked in my head, and the only sound I can hear is a soft, pitiful whimper—my own voice, barely a whisper. Suddenly, harsh lights flood my face. They’re blinding, like torches being shoved right into my eyes. Voices filter through the haze—some familiar, others not. They’re yelling my name, but I can’t tell who’s who. Everything sounds distant like I’m underwater.

" Fear, worry, and sadness are all mixed together. Kean appeared in a different condition than usual, with a laceration on the arm and a bloodied cheek, mouth, and chin. Even though it had dried up, it was still horrifying. Kendra tried to act normal and didn't care about the risks. When he made direct eye contact with the child he had dumped, there was no twinkle. What was clear was that it was very hollow. "Kean?" Kendra slowly approached, relieved that Karina had not been victimized. His earlier scream was only a result of being surprised and scared by Kean's condition when he appeared. The one who called seemed to be deaf. However, he looked up to meet Kendra's gaze. Memories of the last hours played back in my head, the crowd also there. I didn't know what was past, what was present as of then. It all was overwhelming and I wanted to scream. I bent over and I couldn’t hold it anymore. I let the scream out, so loud it pierced even my ears. Tears and mucus dropped down my face. My body swung around and I jumped while still screaming.

The car they were driving swirves on the road slightly “Fuccccccck” The driver roars, stomping down on the breaks “Tom? Tom?” Someone screetches “are you ok? what’s wrong?” A worried voice sounds from the car speakers “Yes, fuck I just got dizzy or something, I’m fine” “Ok, are you sure you don’t sound fine”

Golfe say. I scream more and I scream harder, but they turn back to their conversation. My head falls as tears fill my eyes. Why can no one hear me scream?

Her gaze finds me across the arena—confused, disbelieving. Then the screaming starts.

I woke up to sunlight shining in my face, and the sound of a girl screaming. The sound was excruciatingly loud and sent chills up my spine. Above the screaming, I could hear Axel’s voice shouting. I couldn't make out the words, but he sounded furious and excited. The screaming continued for about another minute, until it slowly died down. The entire time this was happening, I sat cowering in the corner of my room, fearing I would be next to be screaming like that. But I made my decisions…to play safe..

With each step, the voices got clear to him. Heavy groans, screams, grunts, and punches excite him. The sudden brightness caused his eyes to close for a couple of seconds.
