“Not fucking creepy at all.” Each page held the name of different demons, Lucifer, Mammon, Asmodeus, Satan, Beelzebub, Leviathan, Belphegor, and Chaos. Each one had a short description alongside a sketched photo of the demon themself and a symbol. I’d read through each one, finally landing on Chaos. He looked different than the rest of the sketches, as if he were a last minute add to the book. The drawing of him was smeared, as if the artist rushed. His symbol was different. Less intricate than the others.

I was the one to draw the circle, channel my power, and summon the demon. The piece of chalk in my hand glowed blue. Ordinary chalk, used by students everywhere, yet I put so much of my power inside it that the pentagram flashed with fire as soon as I started to draw it. I'm not sure how to put it; my necromancer's gift, my magic power, and my half-demon nature poured out of my fingers, soaking the chalk, sliding across the lines, which were coming to life right before our very eyes.

The handle has intricate, subtle carvings around the inlaid green gems, and when I squint closer, I realize what they are. It’s a depiction of demons. Horned, small winged creatures dancing around the gemstones like a ritual ring. I have seen these illustrations in old books, and they were the first of the Demonics from history. No one knows what they looked like or how they evolved, but some believe exaggerated drawings were made after rare glimpses or from fairy tales based on them. It seems like he gave me a reminder of who he is, and I wonder at the value and beauty of this piece. I doubt it's something he happened upon in the forest; it looks more like an intentional gift.

When she pressed a switch on the wall, soft light filled the space as my eyes widened. The underground room was covered in ancient drawings. Walls filled with creatures — humans, werewolves, vampires, witches, dragons, mermaids, faries and something else I didn’t recognize. One caught my eye — tall, radiant figures with wings spread wide like light. “Angels,” I whispered. Eleanor smiled faintly. “And their kin.”

As soon as he finished speaking, Fred sneered and raised his hand. In the darkness, the figure of a demon materialized. It had the head of an ox and the body of a horse, emanating an oppressive, suffocating stench. Its skin was like decaying swamp, covered in sores and bloodstains. His husky voice seemed like a promising warning to her and she fluttered her eyes open. His dark eyes and devilish side smirk didn't seem sincere to her at all. But from the close she dared to see his face clearly, that dark spot was actually a tattoo which was a black snake. Half of it was drawn on his temple area and the other half started from the under corner of his left eye, running across his left cheek, sinking to his ear. She could tell that under that tattoo was the deep scar which was perfectly hidden by the art. He looked scary with that thing, like a demon. Cruel Damon.

I flip the rest of the book looking for anything that sticks out. The curse ment for my mother was onew of the last things written in the book. After that is page after page of scribbled drawings of a demonic figure. I am not sure what these drawings might mean, but they are very dark, and they give me the creeps. on the very last page is one sentence "The visions are getting worse, I fear that he plans to usae me to exact his own revenge."
