“But the entire world is happy for you. You finally got back.” I nod. “Mill.” I see Silas arriving as he joins us in the couch. “Hi lads.” “Where were you Silas?” Jasper questions. “I was actually on the phone.” Silas answers casually before turning to me. “I have such a huge news for you.” “What is it?” “Do you have plans for Halloween?” “I love Halloween! Maybe we can dress up this year lads.” Jasper sounded hyped. My brows creasing, “Halloween? That’s in a week right?”

We put out pumpkins and ghost decorations for Halloween, and cornucopias and turkeys for Thanksgiving, and in turn, they close their shops early and keep a quieter pace during the Somber Howl and stay up all night, telling stories of ancestors from long-ago during the Winter Solstice. “Then you can carry them to bed later.” I say with a chuckle as I put my head back down on my forearms that are still resting on my desk.
