The Crush's Crusher

The Crush's Crusher

But we're more than that, we have a lot of first class students from our department but still, unfortunately, people, particularly outsiders wishes to believe that we use money to buy our results. All those craps they spit out are just crap. Annoying craps. We're rich kids, so? That doesn't mean we're dumb. We're smart too, duh. I just pray I'll one day meet someone that'll tell me those craps to my face. It definitely wouldn't end well, I'm so sure. Toben nudged my shoulder, pulling me out of my distracting thoughts. 'It's always thinking and thinking in here, let your head rest for a little while, yeah?' My subconscious purposed.

There's something magical about Josephine Ivy's writing. It flows, it's like music, jazz to the soul. But even the best writing style can not elevate a bad story. Luckily, her story, characters and plot and their development are equally as magical. She's a writer on my radar.

The first chapter really grabbed my attention, it has something a first chapter should have, which is the main motive of drawing people into the book. I'm curious to see how things turn out between Silas and Fay. Good work Josie.

Crushed by Debt, Forbidden to Die

Crushed by Debt, Forbidden to Die

I won't test you anymore! "I won't hang up on you anymore! Don't die on me… You can't die on me like this!" She fell to the ground in paralysis, grabbing the red down jacket that I couldn't put on anymore as she cried her heart out.

Interrupt Me Again and I'll Crush You

Interrupt Me Again and I'll Crush You

"You're a cripple now, so let's see how you're going to fight me now." Suddenly, his hand tilted, and the entire glass of scalding hot milk poured over my arm. A sharp, burning pain exploded through my nerves as I grunted in pain, and my crutch slipped from my grip. I lost balance and crashed heavily to the floor. A searing agony ripped through my leg, and cold sweat from pain soaked my back. But what broke me more was the music box that tumbled from my arms and clattered onto the floor with a crisp crack.

Framed Mechanic: You Can Crash and Burn

Framed Mechanic: You Can Crash and Burn

"I can't brake! I can't stop the van! The brake's not working!" Billy and his gang's screams echoed across the entire valley as the van's chassis lurched violently over the road's uneven surface from their extreme speed. Sparks also appeared under the vehicle. I saw Billy sitting in the driver's seat through his wide-open windows. He was frantically trying to take control of the steering wheel. Why wasn't he live-streaming anymore with his phone? Could it be that it was because his big-spending audiences weren't giving him any gifts anymore? There was a hairpin bend on the road ahead, and if he couldn't stop, he would plunge right down the ravine that was hundreds of feet deep.

After the Crash

After the Crash

“Biggest one yet. Their CEO happens to be in town. I’ll go meet his assistant and sign everything today. You don’t even have to show up.” I smiled for the first time in weeks. “Be careful,” I told her. “And don’t mention me.” She promised. That afternoon, she walked into the hotel where the meeting was set. But when the man across the table looked up, he froze. His name was Ryan — Luca’s personal assistant. The moment Ryan saw Clara, he froze. He knew that face — if his memory served him right, she was Valeria’s closest friend. According to the investigation, the private jet that “crashed” three months ago hadn’t gone down because of bad weather or engine failure.

Broken Pieces

Broken Pieces

I sang along to the radio as I took more swigs. I noticed their was a cliff on the side of the road. It's no use in staying here. I'm fucking miserable and I don't want to be alive anymore. "And we are, we are, we are, got me up all night. And we are, we are, we are all I'm singing is love songs." I sang as I finished my bottle of vodka. My vision became blurred and tears streamed down my face as I hit my steering wheel. "I fucking love you Kat." I yelled.

I Let Him Crash Into Destiny

I Let Him Crash Into Destiny

The crash sent that supercar skidding ahead before slowing into a halt. The deafening bang caught the attention of many pedestrians. The supercar was a wreck. Its spoiler dropped with a sharp clang, and the rear chassis had caved in. Yves Shaw, my brother, could not care less. He quickly regained his bearing after that crash and looked into the rear-view mirror as he tidied himself up. He ruffled his bangs, then blinked hard until tears gathered at the rims of his eyes. His gaze carried just the right amount of hurt—painful enough to look convincing, but not so painful that it ruined the effect.

Love Came After the Crash

Love Came After the Crash

Steven smiled as he held out a piece of cake. Ruby took the bite. I stayed silent for a long time. Then tires screamed. A runaway semi burst into frame. Heading straight for the café. Straight for Ruby. Without hesitation, I yanked the wheel and floored the gas. The Audi slammed into the side of the truck. The footage exploded with violent shaking. Metal screamed. Glass shattered. The crash boomed through the speakers. Then, in the final second, my voice barely whispered: "Take care of yourself." The screen went black.

Broken Misfits

Broken Misfits

But I remember on that very same rooftop, I met something, or rather, someone else more beautiful. And she's sitting across me now. Who knew? "Look at that." She gushes. "It's so beautiful." "You are." I say without thinking. That caught her off guard but she smiles it off. "Thank you." Was all she said. Suddenly, there was a jerk. I held the side of the capsule to prevent myself from falling on Audrey. She looks around and stared at me wide-eyed. "What happened?" Right after she asks that, an announcement was made. "We're sorry for the convenience. The wheel is having a few problems and we should be able to solve it in a few minutes—"
