They looked grotesque, their skin was an ugly shade of brown and they looked slimy. They were rather ugly creatures. I knew what they were, but I didn’t think they existed. The only time I ever saw an ogre was in books. “Oh look, my pets have hatched.” Mavis sounded giddy as she spoke. “What the heck are those things?” I heard Brook ask. “Ogres, but I didn’t they existed other than in books.” I answered. “Just like every other paranormal story you have ready, they are just as real and just as deadly.” Eric said, just before his hand grabbed my arm and pulled me back.

It was what she was going to be. “Do you know what a keeper is?” Veronica asked him, as she followed through the halls. “I heard about them when I was at war in the far away kingdom of Delmouth. The humans went about their business eating dinner and getting ready for sleep; oblivious to what went on inside the large canopy of the dense trees. Deep inside the forest, the scent of blood hung thick in the air. The night had gone eerily quiet as the five creatures were standing in a loose circle. They were oddly shaped- a cross between an orc and a goblin with limbs sprouting from their bodies at odd angles. Their eyes were mere sockets, lidless and black orbs and a slit for a mouth with a set of crisscrossed pincers and a long nose to complete their look. They were the hycwens, a blood-thirsty race of wild and untamed creatures that killed for sport and ate anything that moved.

Jay was gone. Jess tried to turn to run but was unable to pull her feet from the tar. She tried to dig out of it. The more she clawed at the substance the more took its place. Jess suddenly became aware of the thing standing over her. She could feel it breathing on her and she saw its giant claw like feet. Jess was to scared to look up but allowed her eyes to creep up inch by inch. She found herself staring into it's eyes. She let out a ear-piercing scream. “Gotcha pretty girl.” It snarled before opening its mouth and swallowing her whole.
