The Alpha’s Silver Arrow

The Alpha’s Silver Arrow

Although Kaiden's left shoulder was wrapped in thick bandages and his face was pale, he was gradually recovering. We were all alive and well. The relief of our survival made the once-arduous trek feel effortless. Even the thin mountain air seemed to smell of freedom. As night fell, we made camp on the leeward side of Moon Goddess Peak. The campfire crackled, sending sparks flying into the deep night sky. Clara, ever the troublemaker, suggested we tell ghost stories. "I heard this mountain used to be the hunting ground of the 'Heartless Phantoms,' who preyed on lone pups..."

The Alpha King’s Broken Mate

The Alpha King’s Broken Mate

Or if the weather was on the colder side, we’d sit deep within the woods hurtled around a warm campfire, marshmallows burning and scary stories flowing allowed tears to well in my eyes. Back then some story of a monster hiding in a cabin ready to eat people was the most frightening thing I had heard, but I was unaware of the real nightmare I would be faced with, I didn’t have a monster in a cabin hunting me, but a real life monster who was sat around that once happy campfire.

Claimed by the Alphas

Claimed by the Alphas

While on any other occasion I would jump in front of them and yell ‘ooga-booga’, this time, I hide behind the tree and act like a real creeper. Two nasty-looking dudes sit around a small campfire. Now, this is odd. Who, in their right mind, would camp this close to the place where Lazarus lives? He’s one scary mofo, no one really has the gall to poke his patience. Or was it something they say about me? Ha, who cares?

We decided to camp for the night as everyone was tired. Acre, Donny and a few of the rogues went to hunt some meat so we ended up feasting on deer. Desert wasn't talking to me so I waited until everyone was getting ready to bed down for the night before I said "I'll be back soon, just some business to take care of" before I strolled over to Desert and hoisted her over my shoulder and stomped through the trees leaving the sound of everyone's laughter behind us.

Creep

Creep

She didn’t want to spill her crazy on to someone else. With no one to really talk to and all the time to kill she pulled out her laptop. She started searching the web for everything from hauntings to attachment’s. It was hard to distinguish what was real and what was fabricated. Jess eventually stumbled across something called a demonologist. His name was Doug Marshall and he lived about a day’s drive from her in Colorado. She clicked the contact me button on his website and decided that now was the time to tell her crazy story. This guy was her last and final hope. She closed her laptop as she was told to upon initial decent. With just her carry on she made her way to the parking lot

As she did so, she let some room at the sides. "Run!" I ducked under her huge arm and ran all the way to the tree. I hate running but I'm pretty sure I beat the fastest man alive to that tree. I climbed up and watched as the guys did too. They stood beside me panting. "I'm never coming to this place ever again. First scary monsters and now a bear, count me out next year," Drake panted, holding his knees. "Are you OK?" Kenneth asked me. "OK! There's a bear in our freaking campsite, if you didn't notice!" I clung for dear life on one of the huge dark branches. The damp, rough bark irritated my palms, but what could I do? It was either that or a one-way ticket to heaven.

Runaway To My Alpha Brother-In-Law

Runaway To My Alpha Brother-In-Law

Just the vast openness of nature and all its unpredictability where someone can stalk, chase, hunt, and kill you without anyone knowing a damn thing. That’s why, when Kaiser mentioned we’d be camping, I felt a pang of anxiety clawing at my chest. I tried not to show it because I trusted him and didn’t want to ruin his excitement, but inside, I was already mentally preparing for the worst. What if it rained? What if the tent didn’t hold up? What if the night sounds kept me awake all night, with every rustle of leaves or snapping twig making me jump? What if Barry spawns out of nowhere and kills me?

The Alpha's Willing Slave

The Alpha's Willing Slave

There was a pond nearby. “I hope we shall remember the tent.” The tent Bryson’s son had gone into was different from the rest, not only in colour but also quality. His father probably made sure he got only the best things in life. “It was grey-ish. All the others are orange and blue.” As we neared the cabin and campsite, we noticed most of the students had fallen asleep. The ones who were awake did not seem alert enough, or they would have smelled us and raised an alarm. Vlad and I watched the camp site for a while, looking out for any movement. One of the kids at the fire woke up after nearly falling into the fire. Standing up, he rubbed his eyes and walked into one of the camps. Vlad and I

Curse of the Lycan Kings

Curse of the Lycan Kings

“Go. I’m right behind you.” “No. Stay here,” I say as I roll off the bed and grab my jeans. It’s too late. Pippa is already crawling across the mattress and out of bed. I throw a t-shirt her way and leave the tent. The camp has been dumped into anarchy. Everyone’s running around, screaming and crying. As I watch, one of the wolves loses his balance and falls into the fire. He goes up in a woosh of flames. I try to get to the unfortunate soul, but I can't make my way through the crowd.

I loved this story!!! I loved seeing Pippa and Adrian grow as characters—they have a love that is so passionate and real. The plot is amazing, and the whole story grows so much larger than the opening pages. I’ve also never seen a soul so dark as Caspian’s. Amazing read!

Amazing read so far! Great characters & story! Frequent updates, altho I’m dreading catching up! ...... Writer is amazing - super shitty that other reviewers have given this 1 star because a different great book from the author was removed by the app - Shame on them! This is definitely worth the read!

Cramps and Cheating: A Ski Trip From Hell

Cramps and Cheating: A Ski Trip From Hell

I walked over to the floor-to-ceiling window and gazed out into the dark night. "He likes skiing, right? Then let him ski to his heart's content. Stop the ski lift and make him walk down on his own." When Owen's call came, I was lying on a massage chair with a facial mask on. I let the phone ring three times before I leisurely answered it. "Brooke, where the heck are you?" Owen's roar carried on the wind, sounding especially pitiful. "Why did the ski lift stop? Sandy and I are stranded halfway up the mountain! There's not even a single light in this godforsaken place, and you're not answering your phone. Are you trying to freeze us to death?"
