Dante’s voice popped into his head. Jace somewhat smiled hearing Dante. He could sure use a drink. “Yes.” “Here or out?” Dante asked him back. “Out, I need to get away from here.” Jace said back to him. “Roger, see you in ten by your car.” Dante said back. “Just you. I don't want to deal with anyone else tonight.” Jace ordered back. “Sounds good Alpha.” Dante replied back. Dante and Jace were best friends growing up and when Dante was marked to be his Beta Jace couldn't think of anyone better. He was grateful they were in this together.

JASON had even planned to call or even text Jenny but in the end, he still lost the courage to pursue it. Caelen was quiet for a long time, looking at the simple stone. "I think I understand her better than I understand Jace," he said eventually. "Jace had years to change and used them slowly. She had one moment and used it completely." He looked up at me. "Which one is braver?" I did not have an easy answer for that, and I did not pretend to. "I don't know," I said honestly. "I think about that question myself, more than I'd like to admit." We left Moonlight Pack the next morning, and Jace walked us to the gate himself, without his council, without ceremony.

POV: Elena Almost instantly, the heavy, dark atmosphere Jace radiated began driving his guests toward the exits. Nobody wanted to be in the firing line of Halden University’s golden boy when he looked like he was about to rip a door off its hinges. Whispering crowds flooded, scrambling to grab their jackets and slip out into the cool night air before the storm completely broke.

As if she was used to this, Marcello paid no heed to them and simply walked in with James. When they entered, a man walked over to them. Wearing a black robe, he had a somewhat handsome-looking face and exuded evil vibes. He looked at Marcello who was grabbing James’ arm. Upon seeing the man, Marcello immediately released her grip and greeted him, “Jace…” The man before them was Jace, one of the most talented cultivators of his generation in the Demonic Realm. Along with Myles Nemo, they were regarded as the two geniuses.

I snarl, and he doesn't wait for me to say it twice before he takes off.
