The ministerial group were looking at the floating sofas with unblinking wide eyes. "Let's see what were you hiding~" Erik said while approaching the base of the old sofas pile. Dragging some sofas to the side, Erik exposed to the group what appeared to be an arrangement of candles. Fifty-one identical red candles were arranged in a spiral shape with a big black one right on the center of the spiral, making it the 52nd candle. Erik looked at the arrangement, analysing it entirely. After he reached his conclusion he said to the group.

The Crossroads were a place where you used to become an adult. It was off territory and only the big kids got to go because they were allowed to leave the territory. For a long time, it was a mythical place that the young kids fantasized about going. Over the past ten years though, Jackson had grown from a small town to more of a city. Now, that was the place where you could go to hang out if you were old enough to be off territory without your parents. The Crossroads became the thing of the past.

From the small distance between us, I saw them split, one took to the right, and the other to the left side of the river. By the time I reached the river bank, I discovered there was a path before it which was split into two, two different paths. I stood at the crossroads.
