Crying Behind Smile Romane & Geschichten

We had a blood relation but that was all, other than that we shared no connection. We had never even talked to begin with, so all I could do was walk up to him, place my hand on his shoulder and say, “I feel your pain.” Vincent looked at me but his smile didn’t falter yet his sorrow filled dead eyes brimmed in with tears that eventually rolled down his cheeks. The view was extraordinarily odd. How could someone smile and cry at the same time? What possible reason could there be? Whatever it was,I never really got to know since we parted way and didn’t meet again for quite some time.

And when she realized that they were just her imagination, she tried to commit suicide so she could also meet her father as soon as possible. Do I have an incurable disease? What is happening? The curiosity eating at me won't let me stay calm and quiet. Letting my hands off my head, I lay back on the bed and ask. "What happened?" She smiles at me, trail kisses all over my knuckles and forehead without responding. "Did something happen?" I rephrase my question and she shakes her head. "Then why are you crying?" She doesn't reply. Instead, she wipes her tears with the back of her palm, forcing out a smile. If she wasn't crying, I would have thought she looked really proud of me with this smile but I can't comprehend what this really is; crying and smiling at the same time.

I decided to check the pool side which is at the back. I walked to the pool and there she was crying, I stayed back and allowed her to cry, it's best you let out the tears than take your life. When she was done crying, she turned around sobbing. "What's going on, I saw you crying," she nodded her head before she spoke, though still sobbing, "Life hasn't been fair to me, ever since I was a kid, I can't remember the last time I genuinely smiled. When I tell people this, they get shocked."

Just try to understand the pain that person is going through. Don’t force a smile or laughter. The worst thing people do is to think that someone smiling or laughing means healed. No. The people who committed suicide that night were all smiles and laughter the same day. So don’t be an idiot. Don’t put a goal that is not a goal. Healing can happen without a smile or laughter. Let that person be. Don’t force anything. If that person wants to just sit on the stairs silently, just sit there with that person, silently.
