TAMING THE BAD BOY ALPHA
Larry is right, we are vulnerable out here, an open prey to everyone and anyone who wants to kill us.
I wipe the tears and snot from my face and nose, then shaking my head, I get up on my feet.
“I’m not crying, it was the rain,” I say, stretching out an arm and pulling Larry up.
He does not believe me. Quickly, he motions for us to head back to the cave but right there and then, lightning strikes across the plains and thunder roars like an angry god. It is as if the celestial armies are at war.
Larry jumps in his spot when another lightning strikes and tries to scurry back to the cave but I stop him. “We have to leave.”
