It makes me feel wanted. "Who the fuck is Cuddles?" A smile graces my face. "My giant lizard companion." Ryan gawks at me as one would stare at a mentally ill person. "Your what?!" And that's when the entire wall crumbles to dust. I glance to my left, smiling brightly when my eyes land on Cuddles and the gang. Blue is wagging his tail while his crazy tongue is hanging out of his mouth. It's a habit even Cuddles has picked up—his tongue is hanging out too.

“I never said you had to like it. You just have to respect it.” Richard grumbled under his breath but didn’t argue further. I could tell he was still upset, but he was holding back for my sake. I appreciated that more than I could say. Just as we were about to settle in for the night, the door to our bedroom creaked open, and a small figure appeared in the doorway. It was Tommy, clutching his favorite stuffed animal—a well-loved bear named Mr. Cuddles. He looked at us with wide, innocent eyes.

The cartoon characters she liked appeared one by one, dancing and walking towards her, and finally surrounded her and Carsen in the middle. Carolyn was excited. "My princess, please accept this," he said, offering it to her. The little dwarf was childlike and playful, portrayed by a young child.
