"Tempest", I called, "Hang him from the roof by his left ankle for half an hour", I commanded, my spirit Queen heeding my instructions as ropes of black crawled from her shadow, across the marbled floor and seized Cyrus Voss' limbs, yanking him harshly through the balcony and up to the roof. The shadow ropes hung him by his left ankle from the roof as I'd commanded, the boy yelling at the top of his lungs in panic.
