Her eyes moved from Marilyn, to Raymond, back to Marilyn, then back to Raymond. For a full five seconds, nobody spoke. Then Naomi screamed. "Lyn!" The shout echoed through the apartment. A second later, Sia came running from the living room. "What happened?" Then she saw Raymond, and froze too. Long silence. Then: "Oh my God." Marilyn closed her eyes. This was going to be a disaster. Five minutes later, everyone sat in the living room. Raymond occupied one end of the sofa. Marilyn sat beside him. Naomi and Sia sat opposite them.

I got to the subway station around eleven in the morning. The train to Daffodil city will leave at around twelve this afternoon. There's still an hour to go. "What should I do to pass the time huh?" I muttered looking around. I saw a restaurant. Maybe I'll eat before leaving for Daffodil town.

It was cosy inside with the cushioned seats. "How long will it take to reach Arcane?" I asked yawning, "A day and a half. We will be there by tomorrow evening" he replied and looked at me for a moment and continued "You should get some sleep" Why does he care anyway? I nodded and he closed the door. This is it! By tomorrow I would be in a complete different place, with him. The Devil will surely show me his hell. I didn't want to think about him anymore as it would only make me more anxious so I closed my eyes and drifted off into a deep sleep.

These past few days had taught her that resistance was useless. I sat in front of the chapel and began to lead the funeral rites. "The hour has come." I rose to my feet, my voice echoing through the open hall. "Lift the coffin." The words had barely left my mouth when frantic footsteps came pounding from outside. A woman stumbled in, caked in mud from head to toe. Her hair was a wild, tangled mess. It was Daphne. She had escaped from the crypt.

At this point, I lost count of how many times Mason had chosen Eira Padmore over me. Just moments ago, I happily told my friend that I wanted her pup to be at the ceremony. After what Mason said, though, my eyes burned with tears. All because of Eira, the marking ceremony kept getting postponed. I had long become the punchline behind the pack's back. "Don't worry," said Mason, still caught up in his own world. "Once Eira and I come back from Bhador, we'll hold the marking ceremony immediately." When he finally looked up and saw my red, swollen eyes, guilt filled his.

"Show them the scary picture and tell them about Margaret." I sighed, Alice. "And just tell them what?" that the woman you used to date is mad at us? There's no proof that she made the threats. Carson's phone rang before he could answer. It was a text from a number I didn't know: "Carson, the time is up. Time is running out. "Go the right way, or everyone will lose." He looked pale as he showed Alice the message. "That ends it." We need to go. "Now."

"Come on, check your results! This is the part where the tables turn! This is the best part! That's what she gets for always trying to steal our female lead's lover!" Seeing me hesitate, Scott came over and grabbed my hand, trying to comfort me. "Don't worry. You still have me." I smiled, pulled my hand back, and entered my candidate number. The screen refreshed. The smile on Tessa's face froze. She stared in disbelief, then exploded into screams. "No way! This can't be happening!"

Dillon's voice said through the phone. I chuckled, rolling my eyes, and hung up before dropping my phone back on the desk. Two days of obsessing over Burkhart, two days of letting his stupid face crawl around my head... I'd had enough. I was done. I hated thinking about him. Hated it with a burning, desperate kind of hate. And right now, I was desperate for a distraction. Just something, anything, to shove Sebastian Burkhart out of my fucking head.

My Dad said and walked out of the restaurant with my Mom following closely behind. “I am going to use the restroom. I’ll be back in a few minutes.” Reina announced and excused herself. “I also want to talk to you, Ian. Spare me some of your time please.” Desire said softly as she sat down back on the chair. “No, this is not the right time, Desire. This is so not the right time. We will get to talk some other time but not today.” I said as I crossed my legs and tapped my fingers on the table anxiously, waiting for Reina to come back from her bathroom trip.

I have only 3 days left before miss Lauretta throws me out. I went to collect the bill for his meal,his girlfriend is a talkative.
