Night Slayer

Night Slayer

As the leader, she felt compelled to put them out of their misery herself, but the thought of pulling out her gun and shooting four innocent humans made the bile make a reappearance. Mila was studying them. “These the only survivors?” she asked Leo. “I think so,” he said from back in the darkness where he was still sorting bodies. Jo was just about to ask Mila what she thought they should do when the Guardian fired off four quick shots, the nanoseconds between the first and last bang not even enough time for the last of them to realize what he had coming. “What the hell are you doing?” Ping shouted. “They’re not Vampires!”

Broken Nightmare

Broken Nightmare

Only an hour had passed by, but my feet were killing me and I was tired of putting on a fake smile. I was now standing in a small circle surrounded by three other couples. They were the future Alphas of their own pack, but they seemed to be only slightly older than Nathan. Ben and Krista were the next for the Blackmoor Shade Pack, John and Angela next in line for the South Shade Pack, and Daemon and Liz inherit the Thornton Shade pack.

This is a really unique and fun story. It has more action than steam and the confusion that the narrator feels is duplicated in the reader, but with curiosity. Good length, good vocabulary and writing. Totally enjoyable!

Deadly Game

Deadly Game

“The lead sweep team bypassed the outer sensor grid. They didn't miss Grid 3; they intentionally left the path open. Victoria’s technician ran a diagnostic on the local server. They detected the micro-burst transmission you used to ping Zero’s network. They’ve baited the drop point.” I stood perfectly still under the blinding, white glare of the tactical floodlight. My hands were raised, fingers splayed wide and level with my shoulders, mimicking the exact posture of a terrified, cornered runner. To the three men fanning out in front of me, I was just Aria —the weak, fragile girl who had managed to slip away with Arthur Vance's most precious ledger. A civilian playing at survival. "I didn't

Surviving a Zombie Apocalypse

Surviving a Zombie Apocalypse

Both Ruth and I turned our heads at the same time. From the pile of zombies nearby, a blood-soaked figure crawled out with what little strength he had left. One of his arms was missing. It was Dan. I raised an eyebrow in surprise. I had to admit, the guy was ridiculously tough. Falling straight into a swarm of zombies and still managing to survive?

VENGEANCE

VENGEANCE

I knew, if I stopped, that man would kill me. I wanted to scream, I wanted to cry. But I couldn't. Because if I did they would hear me and they would find me. My lungs felt as if it was on fire, dried tears that stained my cheeks itched like a nasty bug bite. The freezing winter wind stung my skin as I ran though the intimidating arbor. At that moment, I felt helpless, I felt hopeless, but still I had to run to survive. When the agony was becoming unbearable, I bought one of my hand to my mouth and bit down on it, so that the pain transfers to my hand.

Nightmare

Nightmare

She looks at me worriedly before nodding her head and grabbing Aaron. Ash and I stand watching the monsters make their way down the street. He reaches over and grabs may hand in his, “I love you.” He whispers before squeezing my hand. I squeeze back “I love you too, lets do this, for Aaron.” “For Aaron.” And with that the monsters arrive. They start circling us, line upon line. Ash turns so we are back to back, and an Orange monster takes its first step. Realising that I’ve only got my bow with me, I unclip the small daggers that are attached to each end of the bow. Swirling the bow around I defend. The monster advance on us, and every monster that goes down, a new one takes its place.

Scratching for Survival

Scratching for Survival

At the time, I had been so overwhelmed by the joy of winning that all I could think about was claiming the prize quickly and getting a proper meal. I had forgotten to disguise myself better so people I knew would not recognize me. "You've got the wrong person. It wasn't me!" After throwing out that line, I hung up in a hurry. She kept calling, but I did not answer. Eventually, I blocked her. I thought that would make her settle down. Early the next morning, Danielle shook my bed frame. "Elena, get up right now. Something terrible happened!" Her next sentence jolted me wide awake. "Your mom is on the roof of the research building threatening to see you. If you don't come, she says she's going

Everything After Survival

Everything After Survival

“Sign it. The doctor will finish the procedure here.” I gripped the edge of the table. “This child is Dante’s.” Lucia’s expression did not change. “Dante has already chosen which child he will acknowledge.” “Serena’s child is not his.” Don De Luca gave a cold smile. “Truth does not matter today. Silence does.” Two guards grabbed my arms. Panic rose through me so sharply I could barely breathe. “No. Let go of me.” The maid tried to stop them, crying. “Miss Aria is very weak. If you force this procedure, she may die.”

Survival Has a Memory

Survival Has a Memory

I needed it to wash the mud off my wounds, but they refused to let me get close. My colleagues were guarding the place, and they were all glaring at me. "Ms. Hedge found this! You don't deserve it, bitch!" Fortunately, this island was abundant with resources. Wilderness survival was all the craze a few years ago, and many content creators came here to get useful footage. They also left useful stuff behind. I'd skimmed through everything during my search for water. I went to the dump and scrounged some plastic bottles and a cast-iron skillet.

Game Over

Game Over

"No, it doesn't matter Kenzo. I understand." Of course, Kenzo would not have been able to find a single clue if Caramel had died. The man did not know Mother Caramel's face and her features. And if Kenzo only relied on a name, that too would be impossible. Because remembering there are many similar names used by residents in Los Angeles. So, I can tolerate Kenzo's efforts, Seina thought. "Thank you again, Kenzo." That was all Seina could do. Kenzo raised his head, he pulled the two ends of his lips. So that it forms a smile. "The game is in progress," him said, to himself.
