Badger complained through her headset. “Damn Buddha, what did we tell you about eating cheese before a raid!” Arrow added. “Guys, focus!” Chief, interjected. I giggled to myself at my team. I called over my shoulder Burney nodded and leapt what took me four steps to cover before disappearing through the broken pane. I stepped in after him and cringed, landing on top of the wet flesh of a Taken. Panic coursed through my veins as I stepped off its cooling body. He pulled out the phone and it rang in his hands. Three calls? He didn’t recognize the number. It could have been one of his packmates using someone else’s phone, but why? It couldn’t be good. He was curious and annoyed. “Hello?”

Zander agreed, pulling a silver dagger from his belt and an empty vial from his pocket and looking at her expectantly. Shedding her leather jacket and rolling up the sleeve of her white top, she reluctantly held her wrist out in between them. Zander smiled, and dragged the dagger across her wrist. She winced, gritting her teeth as blood trickled down both sides of her wrist, allowing Zander to catch them in the vial. He wiped the dagger clean on the sleeve of his own shirt and placed it back in his belt, putting a lid back on the vial and holding it up proudly as though it were a trophy.

It seemed greedy Danny had done somebody the first time since she meant him “Well, the little butterfly loves her next looking beautiful… so had time to go shopping with the girls and boom,” Danny said in between chuckles while showing her the various masks he bought for her. His lips moved, trying to say something, but only bloody froth came out. In that instant, a figure exploded from the shadows. It was Danny. The young guard. A former Army Ranger. Now, he held a tactical knife, and he brought it down with precision on the ghoul tearing at Ethan. The blade crunched through its spine. The ghoul's head rolled onto the floor.
