The motion rippled through the room, brushing past the bedside table, grazing that glass of blood—its dark surface trembling, glinting faintly under the yellow light. It looked almost alive, that deep crimson— like a vow silently sealed, one that could never be undone.

The grand chamber that housed the Crimson Heart was a breathtaking sight. Pillars of polished obsidian rose to meet the vaulted ceiling, adorned with intricate carvings that seemed to writhe and shift in the dim light. In the center of the room, upon a pedestal of black stone, lay the Heart itself. It pulsed with an eerie light, radiating an energy that both mesmerized and terrified Aria. Evangeline, draped in her crimson gown, stood before the Heart, her hand outstretched towards it. A malevolent aura emanated from her, crackling with dark energy.

The crimson liquid pooled effortlessly, dark and shimmering in the dim light, completing the ritual's first step. It was then that I noticed Dominic's reaction, subtle at first—a twitch in his jaw, a faint clench in his fists—but unmistakable. Blood. He hadn’t tasted a single drop since we traveled back through time, and now it was affecting him. His skin, once smooth and unblemished, seemed almost translucent, a rawness creeping across his features. Dark circles shadowed his eyes, making them appear hollow, while his veins bulged horrifically beneath his skin, writhing like some caged beast desperate for release.

Their black armor, etched with silver runes, shimmered beneath the lantern light. My heart thrummed with power as I stepped forward, cloak swirling like a ripple of night. The scent of my minions, this legion of darkness washed over me in waves: leather, steel, earth. I felt the familiar surge of magic coursing through my veins, the heady rush that came with absolute control. Tonight, we would unleash the first wave of my dark creatures upon the Crimson Moon pack. I closed my eyes and inhaled deeply, savouring the moment before the storm.

She smiled, “her wolf is one that needs a strong human, not just anyone can control Crimson.” My eyes darted to her and then back to the road, “Crimson, as in blood, fire and brimstone, that type of Crimson?” She sat up straight, “why would you think like that and not that it is just the color red.” I shrugged, “Angel remember, I always think that type of stuff first,” I gave her a shy smile. She nodded, “it doesn’t matter, Crimson is gone with her, unless she is now with someone who didn’t have a wolf.”

With a comical gasp, she exclaimed, "Oh, is that crimson stew? I've heard so much about it!" Her eyes lit up with excitement as she leaned in, eager to share her knowledge. "Crimson stew is more than a dish; it's a culinary masterpiece born from vampire heritage. The key ingredient is crimson venison—meat from magical deer with a reddish hue, echoing the night's mystique. Marinated in rare herbs and spices, slow-cooked in centuries-old wine, and infused with drops of vampire essence, it's a taste of history and tradition, a connection to a world beyond our own." She describes the dish perfectly just like an expert connoisseur.

Alexis waited like forever to hear what crimson have for her because she knows what her smirk is saying. "Well, I just ordered for a fertilizer farm to open where animals will be rear there, and whenever they defecate, it is your duty Alexis to store the shits for us and since you are so brave to take over the pack, I'm sure you don't need anyone's help In storing the shits for us." Crimson exclaimed and smirked, her eyes fixed on Alexis, Alexis looked like she will explode.

Music blared through the yard of Einar mansion, and for the first time in a decade, the entire pack breathed a sigh of relief and had a cause for celebration. However, in their bliss and complete ecstasy, the members of the Crimson Shadow pack were fully unaware of the danger that lurked around the corner in the depths of the forest. A shadow, resembling a black mass, looked onwards at the scene. Its eyes were darkened by the lights that radiated from the lanterns below and all that could be seen was the gap in its white teeth that shone when it smiled.

Blake's sobs soon followed at the sight of nothingness, darkness and that one hole on the ceiling. "L-luca, p-please. Get me o-out of here, p-please." Sobbed Blake in despair, his lips quivering in fear. The shivers didn't stop to crawl on his skin, as the thought of not getting out there forever started to eat his soul. He crawled backwards until a cold wall hit his back, as the sound of chains echoed around the dark room.
