He laughed and began waving his wand in his hand, casting a spell that I had no doubt was destructive enough to kill the boys. I fidgeted on my legs, torn between my desire to run to them and knowing that I couldn't help them. If the dark wizard was casting a spell that was strong enough to kill the wolves, I wouldn't stand a chance if I got in his path. I would be gone in an instant.

Using such magic was forbidden and always had consequences but I didn’t give a fuck. I would sell my soul if it would bring back Lewis. He glared at me and stopped marching. “Why are you so weak? Why can’t you hate me?” he yelled. His anger flew over me like a wave of icy water. “I am not weak” I growled back.
