Faith and the wolf stood at the edge of the deep. Faith held onto Killian’s neck, and he stood like a pillar of stone beside her. Together, they pushed a final, crushing wave of energy into the black pool. The Dark Wolf let out one last, tormenting scream as it was completely pulled down into the depths of the earth. The black liquid followed, drained away into a prison so deep that no king or scientist would ever find it again. The Archive went silent.

felt like a stone dropping into a bottomless well, a weight that defied gravity. I closed my eyes, I turned my Eclipse inward, a dangerous, forbidden technique that felt like swallowing hot coals, I pushed my darkness into my own womb, searching for the source of that strange gravity. The water in the basin didn't stay red. It turned a terrifying, obsidian black.

Every strike of his massive, mutated paws sent shards of razor-sharp black glass whistling through the heavy atmosphere, slicing deep grooves into the ironwood hull of the vessel anchored below. On the quarterdeck, Natalia gripped the iron railing so tightly her knuckles turned a stark, bloodless white. The subterranean river beneath them boiled violently, throwing up thick, choking plumes of yellow sulfur steam that scalded the eyes and left a bitter, metallic coating on her tongue. The cavern was a claustrophobic furnace, illuminated only by the angry orange glow of the magma channels tracing the fortress walls and the unnatural, light-consuming darkness radiating from her mate.

It felt like standing at the edge of a frozen lake. Beautiful and Terrifying. One wrong step, and everything could shatter. “Don’t hope too much, Toby,” I whispered into the darkness. My heart ignored me. It already has.

Then came the impact. I smashed into a subterranean basin of black, stagnant water hidden deep within the belly of the abyss. The shockwave of the collision shattered what little strength remained in my battered frame, driving me beneath the surface in a swirl of freezing foam. Yet, death did not claim me. As I sank into the pitch-black depths, the water here was different. It thrummed with a heavy, ancient density, thick with the concentrated blood and residual magic of primordial beasts that had bled and died in this forgotten realm for centuries.

Arina took a step backwards and before I could ask what to do, she kept into the open space beyond. Perfect. Absolutely spiffing. I peeped into the big hole. It was dark. Very dark. Like a mice hole. I tried very hard to see what was inside but failed. 'Woof?'.

I asked. “Yes I’m alright, btw what’s your name?” Eli asked “Arnold, Arnold II Alviar. Sorry if I was harsh on your friends I thought you’re one of Corona’s lackeys” I explained, “it’s okay Arnold, but why are you holding a container of Dark Water?” Eli asked “the reason why, I’m going to purify the Dark Water. I’ve analysed the Dark Water and found out that the Dark Water that Blakk collected has corrupted properties so I decided to pury the Dark Water by using my friendly properties from my blood” I explained. “Wait you use your blo

Alex knows the inside atmosphere and immediately bows in front of his master begging for mercy and being sorry to his lord. "Master, we are grieved," he said. "Apologies, will your expression of remorse be helpful for me? Will I find that little girl by your expression of remorse? Stand up and search again. I need to know the data sooner. This time don't frustrate me with the bad news," his master growled at him and turned back to face the large window. He was irate yet it was not his assistant shortcoming so he couldn't let his dissatisfaction out on him.

I chalked it up to the fact that these memories were important, and refused to contemplate it further. As soon as the Game Master's shoulders left the water, he was enveloped in darkness. It covered almost every inch of his creamy skin, and even covered the blur that marred his face. He radiated it from every pore, from every smooth surface of skin I couldn't make out. It filled the sky in plumes of onyx, freckled with millions of dazzling stars. The darkness that clung to him, it was different from Nadia's. I don’t have much food left and I’m starting to have to fill up my water bottles in the sink. Maybe they’ll just leave me here to starve, I thought. No, they said they wanted me, they have to want me for something … sex? I mean they hadn’t so far tried anything but what the hell else could they want? I took a lot of showers, since it was about the only time I felt normal. It was the only time I could close my eyes and feel like I was escaping, like I was home.
